I am trying to decide what resort to stay at. We will probably stay at a moderate unless good AP rates come out and I can get a good price on a Deluxe. Any suggestions on a good resort? What do you like about the resort you suggest? Any particular building or section of the resort that is better than the rest? Any help will be greatly appriciated!!

Thanks,

Choosing a resort can be a daunting task! You will find that everybody likes something different about all the resorts. I am a big fan of Coronado Springs (the only one I've stayed at ;) ) and I like it for the theming, the colors, the pool, the food market, and the sprawling grounds! I just love it there - CSR is the under dog of the mod resorts. Take a look at all of them and think about what you really want in a resort!

Good luck!

How about a little more info sweetie, who is going with you, when are you thinking about going, what do you consider to be most important about where you stay? All important questions to think about.

We are going next March/April. I am taking my two boys on my own age, then, 6 and 8. I want somewhere that will be comfortable for us to stay. We will be there for two weeks so being comfortable is important. I know that it is a busy time of year, so I would like somewhere that will not be overwheling with other people, this is why we are not staying at the value resorts. I hope this helps!!

Thanks,

I see RN in your name; what about the Swan or Dolphin? You can get the nurses discount which is substantial! It sounded from your post that you wanted comfortable and quiet. The heavenly beds can't be beat! Great views, great location! Your boys will love the grotto pool, plus there are other quiet pools to explore and swim in.

All the moderates are very nice and each has its own experience. I last stayed at PORS and really got to see how kids enjoyed it and they did. The main pool had a nice slide that was very popular with the kids and the playarea is built to resemble a fort. I saw plenty of kids enjoying the resort. The Bayou sections were very quiet and many were close to quiet pools and the rooms had a sort of campy feeling as the beds look to be made of tree branches. The Mansions (where I stayed) have a more southern elegance feel due to curtains and furnishings. If I had two boys, I would stay in the Bayou section and request one of the buildings close by to the main building (I know #14 is the closest, then either 17 or 18).

If your able to get a good code for a deluxe, go with either AKL or WL. Both get a good amount of families who really have great things to say about their stays there.

I'd choose the POFQ. Have a 6yr old myself and she liked the pool and the food court. This moderate is smaller than PORS and every room is close to the center of things. The boat ride to downtown Disney is nice too. Haven't stayed there since it was renovated in 2003, but I imaginen they just made it better.

If you have the AP code, then I'd go with the WL. A great, kid friendly deluxe.
