What resort would you NEVER stay at

I won't say never. But it is highly unlikely that I will ever stay at the All Star Music or Sports. The same goes with the GF. It's very pretty, but the theming doesn't really interest me.

I'll never say never to anything. As long as I'm at Disney, I'm happy.

I know that there are people like you who are happy just to be at Disney and that's a good thing. After a few visits though, you seem to get spoiled like the case with me and my family. I don't like using the word never, but when it comes to value resorts, I would have to.I've seen the rooms and they just look too small for my family and seemed too loud for my tastes. My first family visit was in Oct 2002 we splurged and stayed at the Poly and now we are spoiled. It's great having the monorail at your resort and the theming is great! I stayed at a CR garden room in Feb 2004 and found it to be too far from the pool and the restaurants, shops and we just didn't like the theme of the rooms or the pool. It seemed cold and the building needed color. If I stayed at the CR again it would have to be a tower room, I think that would be pretty cool. FW cabins I would like to try but no way am I going to sleep on the ground in a tent during the hot summer with no A/C. I guess that doesn't sound like a vacation to me.

Hey Buzz, ssssh, we'll keep CSR to ourselves.

Value would be my last choice.

Just posted a trip report for CBR. Was there before having kids, worked better than this time. Was too far of a walk to everything. Was spoiled from AKL which had a great setup IMO. Did not like CBR main pool area at all. Was long and narrow, not good seating, my 5 yr old daughter begged to leave there to go to quiet pool. When we got to quiet pool, we realized we forgot the life jacket, had to turn around and walk 10 minutes there and then back. Too much walking for little things like that! Anyhow, would not recommend CBR for people with small children.

CSR (don't like the theming), All Stars, or FW. The GF also holds no attraction for me, but I'd stay there if someone else wanted to foot the bill.

i know people are probably going to think I am crazy but..... I was not impressed Poly...

I would never stay at all stars sports.

I dont think that I would ever stay off propery again. I mean why would you want to? I like the All-stars because well it doesnt cost a lot and its more money I can use for other things while at WDW. Really when it comes down to it. Im only sleeping there, however having the bus service to the gates is a whole heck of a lot better than worring about a car, parking or taking a shuttle from a off property hotel that only comes twice a day to the parks.
Oh and having stuff sent back to my resort, brilliant!

Values...or mods. We stayed in all the mods prior to a Deluxe stay. Since staying Deluxe, we have never stayed in a mod again. Deluxe props have everything which makes our vacation more optimal. Location, amenities and themes! :goodvibes

I guess I would not say never but I didn't really like the Fort Wilderness cabins. They weren't horrid or anything just not for us.

I will NEVER stay the Caribbean Beach again. This resort just does not have any appeal to my family. We will probably never stay at the Fort Wilderness Camp grounds. We are not a camping type family. All of the other resorts we will stay in at least once.

I am with Buzz and 10Drum, we will gladly go to CSR the more people dont go the less crowded for us. :dancer: :dancer:

I don't think you'll ever be able to find me in a tent at Fort Wilderness. Even when we used to camp all of the time we owned a travel trailer. Nothing beats microwave popcorn next to the roaring fire and ac/heat on command! LOL DH will disagree with me, but that is why he hunts/fishes in the UP and I keep going to Disney!

I would stay anywhere on the Disney property...but, my last choice would probably be either of the 2 Port Orleans resorts. These resorts are probably nice...but, we live in Southern Louisiana in a swamp...so Riverside doesn't appeal to me. We also live about an hour away from New Orleans, so French Quarter doesn't appeal to me either....

Of course....I've only stayed twice on Disney...last year at Pop Century and about 20+ years ago as a child at the Treehouse villas....

speed :bounce:

I won't say never, but the least appealing resort to me is the Contemporary. It looks like an outdated early 80s airport terminal to me. No thanks.

The Contemporary holds no appeal to me. I'd only stay there if it was free. The other resort I can't see myself staying at is CSR, but it's not because I don't like it. It looked pretty enough when I checked it out, but I live 20 minutes from the Mexican border-it reminded me too much of being at home.

The All-Stars (all of 'em) are hotels we'd never want to stay in. We are way too spoiled by the DeLuxes.

The GF does remind me of one of those hotels in scary movies---The Shining, Rose Hill, etc.

I SO agree! When I started writing my post about the GF, I said it creeped me out, but then I deleted that, because I really couldn't explain why.

I would never stay at the values, mods, or Ft. Wilderness. I also would never again stay at the WL.
