Hi there,

We aren't going until March but would like to start looking now to get the best place for my money. We aren't looking to spend a ton, but want to have a nice family vacation. I would prefer a resort that offered some sort of meal deal where kids eat free w/ paid adult. I don't have any idea how much this is going to cost and then there is the whole ticket/hopper passes etc. to figure out. It will take me to March to get all this figured out! THANKS SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR HELP!!

wdw resorts don't offer free meals period. unless you go during the free dinning (late Aug to Sept)

march is spring break time so you will be paying almost top prices.

so if you need the free dinning - stay offsite.

otherwise I would suggest Pop century, a value resort at WDW.

I'd start by figuring out your budget and what you want to spend on a room to give you an idea on what category resort you want. When you said you were not looking to spend a lot I assume you'd want value, but to me moderates are not too badly priced with my AAA discount.

I heard a lot about the AAA discount. Where do I learn more about it? I am assuming you need to become a member. Thanks for you help!

If you aren't looking to spend a ton, you're going to the wrong place! ;) Kidding. Mostly. Disney isn't cheap, that's for sure.

WDW doesn't do the "Kids eat free" thing.

You might look into staying offsite. You'll certainly find cheaper hotels and you'll be more willing to eat off the Disney property, which will save you $$. :)

You may want to look into the Nickelodeon Hotel which right off of WDW property and very kid friendly.

Check out Allears.net, as mentioned, and Mousesavers.com

You'll be able to price out everything to see if staying on or off site is better for your family and budget.

The Nick hotel isn't cheap, either.

But friends of mine stayed there and I spent a lot of time there...and I cannot say enough good things about the place. It is like heaven for kids!!!

...and not too bad for grown-ups. :)_

BIL and SIL just stayed at the Nick hotel this April with their kids- they got a good deal. They loved the hotel...but said it was cheaper to eat at the parks than the food court there!!!

LOL, that is what I am starting to think.... NOT cheap! :) Does everyone go through a travel agent?? Also, any info on AAA, is it worth becoming a member to get a discount.

The Nick hotel looks awesome, but the travel agent priced that for us and it was higher than staying in Disney. What is the best month to go??

Thanks for all your help I truly appreciate it!
