What resort should we stay at next?

We were thinking of going next Christmas IF our DS does better in school, and it's really iffy right now. We just got back and he really misses Disney, so we thought the promise of a trip might be a good incentive. ;) So, I'm going to make reservations and all and hope for the best.

We've been to CBR twice (loved it), ASMusic (eh, didn't really like it), and Beach Club (loved it but it would have been expensive if we paid for it). DH likes light and airy looking resorts.

What would be a good choice for next Christmas? Even though I don't know if we can afford it, I think I want to go deluxe just so that we can avoid using the buses as much as possible. The buses were awful during the summer and I can just imagine how bad they would be during Christmas week. I don't care about the pool because we probably won't use it if it's too cold.

I like the WL, but it's not light and airy. We have stayed in BWI, YC and GF which I thought were light and airy.

The GF and WL are the most Christmasy feeling hotels that I have seen. The GF is awesome at Christmas time. There is a huge gingerbread house in the middle of the lobby. It is decorated beautifully during Christmas. I loved my stay there in Sugar Loaf when I went around Christmas.

If you liked CBR, why not try it's older "brother", OKW? If you're 100% sure you are going you can rent DVC points. You would be totally spoiled by a 1-bedroom villa!

FWIW, you will be able to swim in December but your kids are too young to care about water slides. YOU may be interested in hot tubs, though.

Definitely BWI, very light and airy, short walk to Epcot, short walk to MGM, beautiful Christmas decorations and the potential option of renting points from a DVC owner for the BWV

I don't think we can rent points because right now the trip isn't really definite yet. I can't afford the GF althought I'd love to go there.

I was thinking WL too, even though DH will think it's too dark, because I heard the decorations were awesome. How is the Poly at Christmas? BWI? Maybe. I liked the Beach Club's location and that's right across from it. Hmmm, so many choices...
