What requests do you make when you reserve HH?

Hi-

Planning next year's spring trip to HH. It's my first time there (recent addon) and I was wondering which request(s) are worth making. We plan on staying in a 2BR and have no one with special needs traveling with us. Thanks!

Here's what I would request:
Non-smoking
Marsh view
Near the pool (unless you don't partake)

If you are going at a less crowded part of spring, you could request a specific building number as the resort will likely not be full. We don't request specific bldgs if we think the resort will be busy. Bldg 18 has the best view of the marsh. Personally, I wouldn't be crazy about being at the lodge, but I think there are some nice views from there and Bldg 13 as well. You are going to fall in love with HH. We added on several time there to have enough points for a 5 day 2-BR every year. The CMs there are the best of any WDW resorts. If you have a large enough party, call and reserve "A Private Affair with Chef Gordon" It will be the highlight of your trip.

Buildings 14 and 15 are my favorite for the marsh view, especially if you are there in the summer when there are fireworks on Tuesday nights. I am not sure about pool views because I have only stayed in 14, 15, and the lodge several times. Lodge is nice if you want an elevator, but we have never had a view there unobstructed by trees. I guess some are, we just haven't had them.

I would also consider requesting an upper floor. Just be aware, although we went in what would be considered a less crowded time (early March), twice, we had neither request met once, and one of our two requests met the other time. HH is the only resort where we didn't get our non-smoking request. Hope we have better luck getting our requests filled next year! However, even with that disappointment, HH is DH's favorite resort (yes, he even likes it more than WDW!), my second favorite.

I also recommend a marsh view. It was so peaceful to sit out on the back deck at night with the sights and sounds of wildlife all around. (Not that you won't get the sights and sounds of a different kind of wildlife with a pool view.) : )

I would request the same as Johnnie suggested. NS, Marsh View and near pool. We requested bldg 18 for our GV this summer because we figured what the hay - there's only 5 so why not try for it! The last two times we had just a standard interior view and that was just fine with us too. The resort is truly beautiful and even if you don't get marsh or pool view, its not like you're going to be looking at a service road or dumpster.
