We belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon).

Anglican. Though I'll bet most not from the UK or some from the Canadian board have heard of it.

Born again, river dunked, Bible believe'in Southern Baptist here. :thumbsup2

Christian Scientist all my life (and spent all my life saying "No, I'm not a Scientologist!).
In the past this has always been a thread killer so hope it doesn't happen again.

Atheist, though beliefnet says I lean toward the Secular Humanist side.

I chose other... born again nondenominational Christian. Praise the Lord! :thumbsup2

I put other. I was Baptist most of my life, but now I attend non-denominational.

I am a Christian, and I currently attend a Southern Baptist church.

Everyone thinks we're Catholic because of our last name.
We're a family of Italian-American Presbyterians.;)

That's so funny because my grandfather's family (VERY Italian off the boat) were Presbyterian as well, however his parents converted to Catholicism when he was a child and therefore he grew up/was baptized Catholic. I think most people just assume Italians are Catholic. Other ethnic groups as well...Hispanics, most Irish, etc. However I have a good friend from Mexico City who grew up Baptist and now attends a non-denominational church.

I am a Christian. I have been Catholic since birth (well, technically since my baptism at 3 months old, lol). My mom is Catholic, my dad grew up Methodist but has not attended church in my lifetime other than weddings, funerals, etc.

At any rate, my brother and I were raised Catholic and we attended Catholic school K-12. We did not go to church every Sunday though..more of an "every once in a while thing." In high school/college I really drifted away from it and questioned my beliefs. One incident changed all that. My cousin joined a cult and she and her friends LOCKED me in a room, whipped out their bibles, and started trying to convert me to their beliefs and tell me how evil the Catholic church was. Rather than listening and agreeing, I became VERY defensive and then and there realized I really was a Catholic.

DH and I are VERY involved in our parish, and oldest DD attends the parish school. We go to Mass every Sunday and I try to incorporate prayer/Jesus into our everyday lives a lot more than my parents ever did. I also, surprisingly, find myself accepting more and more of the church's teachings/beliefs as I get older, although I will ALWAYS have issues with no birth control/no artificial means of conception. Still, the Catholic church is where I feel most comfortable. We are happy there.

Thank you for sharing your story. It was very interesting to read. :goodvibes

I am a Christian, but could fall into the category of the first five. Those denominations are not seperate religions, they are the same faith, in that the people who attend those churches are all followers of Christ.
