what rate did you get for CR this August?

Hi there!
I am trying to work out my budget for our trip in August 2005. I just called to check for the AAA rate for CR and got $207/night garden view/wing. I am hoping that when/if the codes come out next year, I will be able to reduce this rate some. What rate where you able to get for CR for this past August using the public codes? We do not have AP's. It seems that the codes that are released to the public come out every few months...are they usually better than the AAA rates? We are going to be there 8/25 - 8/28. Thanks in advance for your help!

I had booked CR tower originally for my b-day wknd (last wknd 8/21) with an AP or FL res. rate (sorry can't remember now it was back in Feb.) and the rate was $250 per night before tax with the discount code

Then decided it was just way too much for just a wknd stay and changed it -- ultimately I ended up canceling as I was afraid of the weather not cooperating as it was for the wknd after Charley. But that was what they quoted me with a discount code - sorry it's not the general public code but hope it helps a little. You may want to check out www.mousesavers.com they have a historical page of codes/rates and when they came out.

Thanks Scoootch - I did check out mousesavers.com for their historical discounts, but they did not give the discounted rates given for those time periods. Sorry you had to cancel your trip a couple of weeks ago...sounded like it would've been fun too!

Anyone else get a cheaper rate than $207/night for CR garden/wing room this August? We were really hoping to be able to lower this rate some, but if this is the cheapest rate for CR we may have to go with another resort. Any help is appreciated!! Thanks!

I did end up going for the day and had a great time. Just didn't stay overnight. I have my full week coming up at BCV's in less than a month. So I'm good to go
