I have been looking at DFTW for the last couple of weeks. DD is planning on getting married in the next year or two. I have also thought about a VR for me and DH, so if DD decides against it I'm still going (with DH too) just a little farther out.

But I have a couple of budgeting questions.

I know we could go with an escape wedding for around $5,000, tack on another $1,000 to rent the Attic at BW for reception, so for less than $7,500 get a real nice wedding event. (for less than 25 people)

But I was also looking at the $10,000 min wishes wedding (earlier timed event) and am wondering what qualifies as counting towards your limit:

welcome dinner

rehearsal dinner

tea party (for a bridal party or bacheloette party, or even rehearsal tea)

venue for ceremony
flowers and decorations for ceremony, dinners,
sand ceremony
ceremony music

spa services
hair
make-up
photography

reception
venue
linens
food
beverages
cake
cake topper
cake service
DJ
music during dinner
entertainment - barbershop quartet, caraciture artist, etc

dessert party

specialty cruises

vehicles - bus, limo, carriage, etc

favors - embroidered mickey ears, mickey Krispie treats, etc

invitations
save the date cards

And anything I may have omitted???

Thanks for any info:)

Hi there! If you add on a reception to an escape wedding, the minimum is bumped up to $7500. It is also $7500 for escape weddings on Saturdays or Sundays.

As far as what counts toward the minimum, the following on your list do not: any events not on the wedding day (rehearsal or welcome parties, tea parties, etc.), any spa services ( any hair makeup etc), photography only counts if you use Disney photography, I don't believe invitations and Save the Dates do (even if you go through Impressions which is recommended by Disney - they are an outside company). Basically only Disney provided services on the day of your wedding will count (although I believe an in-park bridal session will count even if it's not on the day of the wedding). If you decide to use an outside vendor for anything (floral, transportation, favors, etc), they will not count toward the minimum.

ETA: Things not on your list that won't count towards the minimum: attire for the bride and groom, the officiant, any travel/lodging costs for the trip to Disney.

and also, from what I have been reading on here you can no longer have more than 20 for an escape wedding, its 20 or less. And in the 20 includes you and DF.

All these minimums and numbers and what not is making my head spin lol.
