What purse/bag do you bring into the park?

for anyone that uses that bagalinni does it dig into your neck at all? Anytime I get a cross body the strap hits my neck and just hurts so bad I have had no luck with any.

I purchased the bagalinni bon voyage. I love the purse itself but the strap killed my neck on the first day of a 10 day trip. I'm so glad I had tossed my old fanny pack into my suitcase or I would have died by the end of the trip.

I read on here that somebody used it as a fanny pack since it has a adjustable strap so I'm going to try that and see if it works on my next trip in couple of weeks.

I won't have to carry a backpack around this time either since my 2 month old great neice is going with us and she has a heavy duty BoB stroller so we can put all our waters & snacks in the bottom basket.

The baggalini I have is called a "large wallet bag". It is sort of like a rectangle with a thin strap that hook on. You can adjust them to be like a fanny pack but I think it looks a little nicer, and probably a little bigger. I know there are baggalinis that are one large across the shoulder strap which is different from mine. Don't know if they can be worn as fanny packs.

That is exactly how mine is thin adjustable straps that hook on. I figured wearing something like that is nothing compared to how some people dress in the parks. I have the pics to prove that theory too.

So looking forward to taking care of the baby and people watching.

I usually do a waist pack (aka fanny pack) but this time tried a small, cross-body purse and found it annoying. One days 2-5 I just went bagless. In pockets went a bar, money, ticket, credit card, ID, chapstick, toothpick. On waistband went cell phone holster. Sunglasses on lanyard or head. I don't mind spending a little money in the park on drinks. It's worth it to me to not carry them. The kids use the drinking fountains at times, too. We'll chug about three refills of soda during a sit-down meal and that hydrates you for hours.

I bought a Camelbak type water bladder bag but didn't use it this trip. It was too cool out to worry about hauling 2 liters of water around. It was handy to have in the hotel room and car, though, so we had filtered water from home!

For YEARS I used a small fanny pack but I know how "uncool" they are so a few years back I bought myself a messenger bag. I have used that up until our last trip but I just bought myself a 35 mm slr camera and it is rather large and bulky so this past trip I carried my dh's backpack that HE usually carries. He would carry that for our jackets, water bottles, souveniers, napkins you name it and then I had my small camera, wallet etc in my bag.

Well now I needed the bigger bag for my camera and I don't know HOW it is going to work on the next trip. I admit taking the much larger camera is a bit more of a pain but it is so worth it to get the great photos. I will be honest though if I didn't care about the pics the smaller and lighter weight the better. Back in the day with my fanny pack was the BEST. I could fit my small digi camera, a wallet, some lip balm, my sunglasses and a few other necessities and it was around my waist so NOTHING to carry or get in the way and it was GREAT! Even the messenger bag starts to get a bit heavy on my shoulder over the day.

For me the lighter the better but unfortunately can't get away with that anymore ;)

Mine doesn't. I can wear it either on just one shoulder or across the body, if that makes sense, so I can switch around if I feel my shoulder getting a little tired.
