What policy would you change?

If you could change a Disney policy what would it be.
I would change change the DVC policy that once someone has paid for thier rented points they could talk to member services about thier reservations. Like booking ME.:surfweb:

I'd get rid of the bag checks at the park entrances.

Same here. Total waste.

There also has to be a way to improve the resort check-in process. Create an express line for people who have been to that resort before and don't want to have to wait for everybody (or themsleves) to get the very long version from the CM's.

I would get rid of the bag checks and provide a ticket (card) that doesn't demagnitize at the drop of a hat. To avoid the bag check lines, I carry a surf safe around my neck with cash, one travelers check, a room key, a credit card, my license AND my entry ticket to the parks that has to be fed through the machine at least twice each day. I keep the ticket near the cash, not the room key or credit card and it still demagnitizes. I was also told to keep the ticket away from my camera! Maybe I should glue it to my forehead.

Change ADR's to 30 days before instead of 180

Let the flames begin...

I would make one of the resorts adults only....

Flame suit on...

One nice pet-friendly Disney resort (other than parts of the campground). If Hard Rock Hotel can do it...

I'd enforce something other than a free for all at bus boarding at resorts. I'd also refuse admittance to those wearing heelies.

technically not a policy but might as well be since the official policy is'nt enforced-pursue and deal with people who use dvc as a money making venture.

it's realy frustrating when you're a member, pay your dues, follow the rules-and you can't get a resie by virtue of other owners who reserve major blocks of time and hold them to rent out at prices high enuf that even if they don't rent out significant numbers of days-they can cancel at the last minute when it's too late for other members to line them up-and despite banking and cancellation penaltie-still end up financial ahead:guilty:

We spent 9 days in WDW and I saw lots of kids with those heelies and I didn't see one thing objectionable about them, other than they don't come in my size. I think too much is made about the heelies.

Interesting, given I've been nearly knocked over in both DLR and WDW.

you only have to be hit by a kid wearing those things and not paying attention one time to have a problem with them. They don't allow roller blades or roller skates, so why should they allow heelies?

I have been had my heels hit by strollers too but I wouldn't suggest banning them. Someone drove his rascal much faster than he should have getting onto the ferry. Guests had to jump out of the way. I would hate being hit by that thing. Things happen in crowded areas. Its a risk getting up in the morning.

The gait with roller blades and skates is much different than with heelies. A lot of the kids are just hanging onto mom or dad.

Their smoking policy. They claim to only allow smoking in designated areas, but people smoke everywhere, and the "policy" exists on paper only.

No more two hour waits between FastPasses!:cool1:

Not the kids I've seen. I don't have a problem with the little ones who are hanging on to mom or dad, but I do have a problem with the ones who have cut me off or ran into me. Yes strollers hurt, but not as much as a 90 pound kid who runs into you with heelies!

This isn't a policy, but something our group came up with a while back. Give each park 1 adult only day each week (no flames, please) -- I know it's Disney. (They could at least test it for a month and see how it goes over.)

Since we're talking about changing rules, I'm going to change the rules of this thread and submit more than one. :rotfl2:

More than one FastPass at a time.

Resort Guests can plan their day in the park and print all their FastPasses out at the concierge desk.

Dining plan can be purchased for as many credits you want to buy, not fixed as 1 TS, 1 CS and 1 Snack per person per day.

DVC pool hopping to all pools.

Dress codes at signature restaurants are actually enforced.

ADR booking online.

DVC availability check and booking online.

Refillable mugs can be filled anywhere, including at the parks. (Put a barcode on them like at the water parks that works until your check-out date.)
