What points do I use to make the reservation?

Hi there,
We are new owners and got the 2009 points with a Dec UY. We are planning a family trip with extended family for the end of June 2011 for 10 nights. I need to book a 2 bed suite and 1 studio. Do I use the 2009 points first when I call and use the needed points from my upcoming 2010?
I may be wrong. Also if I need to cancel the studio, what happens then??

First, you will need to bank the 2009 points by July 31. You would use those first and then 2010 and you could also borrow 2011 if you need more. If you think there's a possibility you will cancel the studio, book the 2 bedroom first so that the banked points are there. They can switch the points around between the 2 rooms so that the banked points are kept in the remaining room.

You must bank your 2009 points to use them in your 2010 use year.

If you don't, MS will use your 2010 points for the reservation, which you don't want.

If you call before the end of July, tell MS to bank your 2009 points into year 2010. You can also call ahead of time to bank them or do it yourself on the member website. But definitely bank your 2009 points before the end of July of this year.
