haven't been to disneyland since 1998 - so just wondering what are the best places for snacks and lunch in the parks?

Thanks. :)

Our favorites for lunch are the Plaza Inn in DL for fried chicken and we also love Whitewater Snacks in the California Grand Hotel.

Pacific Wharf Cafe at DCA is my favorite, but the lines at lunchtime are often pretty long - 15-20 minutes just to order. I like the fried chicken at Plaza Inn, too, and Redd Rocket's in Tomorrowland has good salads, pasta, and pizza, and in very generous servings.

For snacks...it depends on what you like. :-) I like Dole Whips from DL, and the smoothies at Schmoozies at DCA are really yummy, too. There's a nice variety of cookies and muffins available at the bakeries at both DCA and DL. If you want a more food-like snack, the skewers at Bengal Barbecue at DL are really good - a bit pricey, but good. And there's lots of open-air carts/markets selling whole fruit, cut fruit, veggies, trail mix, and other healthier things now.

When it comes to lunch we love Carnation Cafe on Main street. There is also good food over by Pirates, the bread bowl, monte cristos etc..

For snacks it depends what you're in the mood for, there is the corn dog cart on Main street, churros, Dole whip, fresh fruit carts, chocolate is always good and many other wonderful goodies. Oh the ice cream Mickey bars are great too on a warm day!

I've heard great things about Whitewater if you're near the GC. DTD has some good options but I wouldn't leave the park just for lunch. We sometimes go there for dinner though.

Remember the old snack kiosk in Fort Wilderness on Tom Sawyer Island? Nothing speacial to eat but as a kid I felt like I had arrived at a distant outpost for provisions! I can't wait for the fort to return.

Another vote for Whitewater Snacks at GCH and Pacific Wharf Cafe at DCA. Also recommend Cafe Orleans in the French Quarter at DL.

Grab a bread bowl at the place near the pirates ride or in California near the wharf. They are both GREAT!

I'm all about the food at the Pizza Port in tomorrowland and the French Market in New Orleans Square.

And for snacks...I like churros or a soft pretzel. Or a dill pickle. Or veggies.

i forgot about the turkey legs..my dh loved snacking on those legs. They are big and he is a pickey eater and had them all day! We had to locate every place they sold them.

I like the vegetarian chili in a breadbowl at Pacific Wharf Cafe at DCA, and the vegetarian gumbo in a breadbowl at Royal St Veranda in DL.

For sweet snacks, I like the "fritters" with dipping sauce at RSV as well.

I also adore a warm latte and a chocolate chip cookie, especially from the outdoor cart to the left of the castle (but I really should get it from the main st bakery b/c I can use my AP discount there).

I tried a pineapple spear, but it was very slippery and therefore not 100% enjoyable, as I worried about losing it.

How could I forget the cookies! the ones at Blue Ribbon Bakery are delicious! especially with a hot chocolate or mocha.

I miss the old school fritters at the back window in FQ but the new ones are good.

I love a good sphere of pinapple at the Tiki Room!!

For lunch, though its sit down I say Wine Country Tratorria in DCA. Yummy sandwhichs, good prices just yummy!!!

Lunch: Another vote for Pacific Pier, Cafe Orleans and Turkey legs. We love to grab the turkey legs when we sit to wait for a parade, it is easy for two people to split one. We've also enjoyed lunch at The Hungry Bear, although that can be hit and miss, and pretty plain, the kids get to be picky and add their own touches.

Snacks: Favorite Disney snacks are the Churros, anything from Blue Ribbon, and Dole Whips!! At least once a trip we will have funnel cake.

Oh, num...now I am hungry!! LOL:rotfl:

I like for snacks Bengal BBQ and Chimichangas at the turkey leg stands.

OMG...I forgot Taste Pilot's Grill! We really like it, the portions are big and we can split one meal per two people. Also, the condiment bar is nice. The ribs are my DH's and older DS's favorite. :thumbsup2
