I have a brilliant book - the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World 2005 - for May 2005 it recommends Animal Kingdom on Saturdays and Epcot or Animal Kingdom on Sundays. We used this book on our last visit in May 2003 and found all its tips very helpful in getting us to the right parks on the right days and even which order to do the rides in. We spent very little time in queues and saw just about everything. We intend to follow their recommendations on our next visit - in 16 days time!
I would definatley sugest not going to MK on the weekends its usually its bussiest times. I agree that AK would be the best option on a saturday~
When you do go to MK. If you get there when it opens cut through the Castle to peterpan, pooh, and the rides in that area or to toon town. Because a majority of people rush to the big rides or make there way around through the other lands! So you can do peter pan-- usually a 60 minute wait in no wait at all
