Just curious...which type of parks tickets do you prefer? We always buy 5 day MYW and do two days at MK. I've never done the hopper but am thinking about it for our next trip.

Our last trip was 5 day base tickets. First time without hoppers and I missed it a little bit we only went back out in the evening twice due to having our 2 1/2 yr old with us so it didn’t make too much of an impact

Hoppers. On our first trips we never thought they were for us. Over my last two trips, I have become a fan. Love being able to hop over to Epcot for dinner.

Park Hopper Plus. We usually do at least one water park day, and a round of mini golf.

For Rope Droppers, I think the Hopper works best, so you can have that mid-afternoon break, and go to a different park later that evening. It's nice keeping some flexibility in your schedule that way.

This is always the subject of friendly debate in this forum. Some people swear by hoppers, and they like to have complete flexibility and variety on each day of their trip. I'm in that camp... one park in the morning where I book my FastPass reservations, leave in the afternoon heat for a second activity (resort, Disney Springs, water park, etc), then a different park in the evening -- especially if there are extra magic hours or a later close than my morning park. Plus, I love being able to add spontaneity to a trip, repeat your favorite attractions, or to see a different nighttime spectacular.

Others would rather save the money, and don't see much need for changing parks. At Disney World, the parks are so spread out that you'll easily spend over an hour walking to the exit of one park, waiting for transportation or finding your car, standing in security, and finally entering another park. Many believe you can find more than enough to do for a full day in any the four big theme parks. Also, it's often said that you can always add hoppers onto your ticket later instead of bearing that expense upfront.

Personally, I'll always go with hoppers on a multi-day Disney trip, unless budget dictates otherwise.

Right now, we don’t get hoppers. We have a toddler and when we took him last year, we did RD and then were back at the resort by dinner. All of the nighttime entertainment is past his bedtime. We will re-evaluate when he’s older and see if it makes sense to get hoppers when we can tour longer.

5 day base tickets this time.with the shorter park hours these days and the time it takes to get between the parks, hoppers just dont make sense for us.we also have one water park day and a day at Kennedy space center.

We have always done park hoppers or park hopper +, typically 6-8 days. I can’t imagine not having the hopper. We are always there in June or July.

Been park hopper for us. Most of our early trips we don’t need them but it was the tickets I bought through work. Now as we’ve gotten older and maybe more experience with going to Disney we have planned on going to different parks during the day and some dinners like Le Cellier requires us to jump back to a particular park. We have become big fans of Epcot so we will be there multiple times

On earlier trips, we never bought hoppers and didn’t feel a need to buy them either.

Last couple of trips, we stayed at the Swan so I sprang for a hopper. You get your money’s worth out of the hopper option when you stay in any of the Boardwalk area resorts and enjoy Epcot as much as we do.

I always buy just base tickets. Me and my family find that we don't really need hoppers, and the money we are "saving" helps us to stay more days :cloud9:

7 day hopper -- undercover tourist had a sale and this ticket ended up being pretty much the same price as a non hopper. If you have a traveling party who can handle longer days then park hopping can be fun and worthwhile. The parks at night definitely feel different so worth taking advantage of a park during the day using your FP and then heading over to another park just for a few hours late night. But if you have younger kids you will likely not be able to make good use of the hopper due to early bed times

We've been pass holders for several years now. While we didn't ever hop before we bought our passes and even now don't hop all that often I can't imagine not having the option at my finger tips now. If we were do ever drop our passes we'd keep hopper tickets

I prefer base tickets as we don't really see the need for hoppers for our style. We're rope drop to close, no break, people and we find that there is more than enough to do in all 4 parks to keep us busy all day long. We don't typically go for more than 4 or 5 days, so I don't want to "waste" time trying to get from one park to another when there is plenty to do in whichever park I choose for that day.

Park Hoppers are good for our family. We stay deluxe, and we like to hop over to the park we are close to at night. We also like to go to a different park for dinner and then see what fastpasses we can grab there.

Usually base tickets but sometimes hoppers. Depends on the trip. I map out an itinerary, ADRs, FP, and then decide. This upcoming trip my DGD15 is bringing her bff and I think they'll it the parks harder than me and my bff who's going. I'm only planning to hop one day with my friend, but I got us all hoppers just in case. Many times we don't need to hop at all so I just start with base and figure if need be I can upgrade to hoppers when I get there.

We always buy AP's or Hoppers -
Love to 'hop' for various reasons - could never feel confined to one park.

We always buy park hoppers. We usually have at least a few days if not more on a trip where we are in one park for part of a day and another the rest of it due to either ADR availability or the resort we are staying. We usually visit every few years during holiday season and try to stay at a different resort each time sometimes doing a split stay so for example our last trip we were at YC so spent a little more time at Epcot and DHS.

Always ParkHoppers. We usually stay for 7-8 days. We must have the option to go where we want when we want. Early mornings at one park, sometimes a short break then evenings in another park. We love the MK and EPCOT at night. Also, we loved Pandora at night the last time we were there. Cheers!!!!!!!!!!

We did PH for the first time in years on our last trip due to needing it for FD, and we’re addicted now. We’ve got 10 day PHs and 2 US tix for our upcoming 2 week Nov trip.
