What packaging drives you crazy??

buy CD's anymore, but just recently bought a Baby Pooh stuffed animal for my Grandbaby---it took me 15 minutes to get it out of the BOX!!! I told my DD "YOU open the packages from now on". Also, what is it with the Jars--they have a super-duper vacumn machine to put those suckers on? I have to bang it on my cement floor about 12 times to get it loose, than the lid is all banged up!

LOL!!!!!!!!!! This thread is hilarious!!!!! I agree with everything, but especially the hard, molded plastic that you need garden pruners to cut through (and you always cut yourself pulling it apart!) And also the diapers things! LOL!! I usually end up ripping the whole bag apart and the diapers go a-flyin'!

Peanuts are the worst. They always fall out and they are sooo dangereous with little kids. Why dont they just ban those stupid things!

Cd's and DVD's are a pain - but give me stack of them over one 'bomb shelter packaged' toy any day!

Sheesh - just bought a $10.00 polly pocket set - they could cut the price in half if they would lose just a fraction of the twist ties, plastic straps, etc.

Children's toys. I always have to get my DH to help me get them out of the packages. Bought DD a $6 Dora toy last night, and you wouldn't believe how hard it was to get out of the package. It ended up going to DH of course.

The plastic packaging around electronics drives me nuts...you have to use scissors and knives ugh!

Not sure if the ladies have the same with blouses and such, but what's up with the 15-25 straight pins they have buried all over on men's shirts? Do they really think they are going to fall all apart? And then always seems like, after most are found and removed, there are 2 or 3 that, while opening the package, you can continue to stick yourself with, but never can figure how to get to the non pointy end to pull the darn things out. And why all those darn plastic and paper things in the collars?

LOL. I've never seen pins in ladies blouses. And my mom's got a big collection of blouses too.
I hate the electronic plastic packaging. It took me an hour last week to get into the packaging for a new flash card for my digital cam. I thought companies wanted us to continue purchasing from them
Not a big fan of bubble wrap either, when something is actually wrapped in it. It just keeps going and going and going.

My mom's wrapping!!!! Anytime she wraps something at a holiday or just to send me something she uses movers tape to wrap every stinkin' inch of it!! And if you FINALLY get a box open (this is a several hour job) then you have...that's right MORE layers of TAPE!!!! Try having a whining 5 yr old circling you as you attemt to unveil her gift from Grandma! I KNOW she does it on purpose (she denies it of course)!!

I agree--toys are the worst to open along with dvd's and i noticed today that getting the top of some pringles for ds's it was kinda hard to get them open!

Rescue Heroes...same reason as the aforementioned Little People, Barbies, etc. What are the packaging people thinking...

"Let's see, this Billy Blazes is only 10 inches high, but he might somehow fall out of the package, so let's anchor each leg, each arm, his neck, his chest and his stomach with these pieces of indistructible wire coated with heavy-duty plastic. Then we'll pass those pieces of wire through more plastic pieces on the back and secure them with tape. That should just be enough protection"

If they would just make them so you could cut them with regular scissors, it wouldn't be so bad.


Also, Day-Quil capsules. You pull off the back piece of paper thinking your homefree, but noooo.....there's now a piece of impenetrable foil covering the medicine, and that is one tough piece of foil. I have very hard fingernails, but always have to find a nailfile or something to puncture it with.

I second (3rd, 4th, 5th..) the DVDs!!

The one that really kills me, though is this....

Arthritis meds in child-proof containers!! Typically kids are the only ones who can open them! That just kills me!
