I am making me ADR's tomorrow morning :cool1: and I've called the past few days with questions and the CM's seem to work very slow. Is this the case when your making your ADR's.

I'm hoping they pick up the pace for two reasons; #1 - I want to get the ADR's that I want and #2 - I'm going into work late to make them therefore time is something I don't have a lot of!!

Who would have thought ADR's would be making me this nervous????

i call tomorrow morning also!! and I am nervous as well!!

I'm glad I'm not the only nervous one too!!

Good luck to you.... I hope you get all your ADRs that you want (& the times too). :thumbsup2

I called this morning and I have to say they were pretty slow. She told me right off the start that I probably wouldn't get the ones I wanted....and then I did...it was a good tactic on her part because I was pretty pleased when it worked out.

I called yesterday for mine and I thought the process was very slow. It took me 30 minutes to make 10 ADRs, but I got everything I wanted!

The slow part is waiting to get connected to a person. It took over 30 minutes when I called. Once I got a person it went pretty quickly - but I guess it will depend on how many ADRs you need as well as the person you get connected to. If you get a lunch break at work you might want to consider calling midday. The 2 times I called the dining # midday I was connected to a person in under 5 minutes. The 2 times I called first thing in the morning the wait was 30+ minutes.

Don't hem and haw...once you find a res available at the place you want, tell them to grab it and pull it out of the available pool. I was able to snatch a 5 person Chef Mickey and Boma that way. You can always release them if you find something better but I have found it's better to grab what you can find at first and then work on improving them on later calls. ADR CM's told me that the best time to call is right in the morning cause that is when they release the previous day's cancellations for the most part.

I'm not calling for awhile, but I've heard that it can take a bit to get connected, especially during the 7:00am rush as soon as they open the phone lines. Start calling a minute or two until they open, and keep calling until you get through. Some advice I've heard is to cut off the CM's intro speech to let them know you need ADR times. Start with the ones you're most concerned about, not necessarily with the first day of your trip. Good luck!

:scared1: I wouldn't cut off the CM's at the beginning of the call...I hardly think the few extra seconds it takes for the CM to introduce themselves is going to make a difference in snagging ADR times...just my opinion of course.

Just thought I'd chime in with how it went...very nice lady but took a long, long time.
1 hour, 23 minutes to be exact! She was in no hurry!

Lady V... I hope you got all of your ADR's??

Yes, I was on the phone this morning for 47 minutes (and I did not have to hold) to make 7 reservations!! My CM was very nice but her "system" was going slow she said.

I got all my ADR's - a few I had to adjust the times by 30 minutes, but no big deal.

My only disappointment was the Pirate Cruise from our resort was booked for the day I wanted. But, I got them on a Pirate Cruise from the G.F. the next day so that wasn't a big deal.

I am so happy that's over :cool1:

The poor CM I dealt with this morning to make 1 ADR was very slow, she took forever to put in my information into the system. I had to spell everything and I should already be in there for the amount of times I go there....finally we got to booking the reservation - 10 minutes later.....:confused3

I have to call again tomorrow as we are staying off site and I must say I am kind of dreading it.

Sometimes I feel so out of touch...didn't even know there was a pirate cruise. Glad you got it booked for one of the days you are there!

It varies so much. One time I had a CM that was sooooo sloooow...it took like, 30 minutes just to make ADR's! Ahhh, I was ready to bang my head against a wall. But other times I've had speedy ones. Luck of the draw.

almost every CM I have spoke to in last 3 days has apologized for being slow :sad2:

I usually like to do my own planning/reservations, but I think in this case, at my 90 day window (June 03)... I may just take up the Concierge staff on their offer to make my ADR's for me. It will save me time and stress as well as money by not sitting on the phone at 5 a.m. waiting to be first served!! I'm calling from Canada, so I have to worry about the long distance charges too. I guess if I am paying Club Level prices to stay there, I should utilize some of the benefits! :thumbsup2

Believe it or not I didn't hold either! I literally got straight through at 7 and it still took that long. Can only imagine if I'd had to wait for a person. Would still be on hold now!!:rotfl:

We have called three different times for ADR'S and each time we had different levels of service. The first CM was slow, grouchy and not very friendly and the last two CMs were fast and even gave us some suggestions to try back in a few days because of cancellations. We did that and pretty much got all of the ADR'S we wanted, some a few off the times we wanted but still got them.
