What other forums do you find to be...?

I find that I am always on the DVC boards, but there are some many other Disboard choices.

Just curious as to what other forums people on the DVC find interesting or helpful or informative or funny?

I have been on the DCL sight, when I am planning a DCL trip, but not much else.

The Disney Restaurants board would get my vote. I love reading where everyone ate and what they thought of it.

I have to admit, I don't love the community board. They all seem to know each other already, so I feel like I am trespassing. I do like the Theme Park Attractions & Strategies board. I have learned loads of Disney trivia from the Parks Game thread. But I definitely spend the bulk of my time here at DVC. It is roomier here!

I visit the DVC, disAbility, Theme park, Restaurant and Trip boards most regularly. I wish I had time for others.

I like all the "Trip Planning Forums" like restaurants, parks & resorts. I love to read trip reports too as they are sometimes hilarious and I learn a lot from others mistakes. I especially like to read the trip reports of first timers (with little kids) who just came back to "hear" what they & their little ones thought of it all.

I regularly check the Transportation Board (great tips on car rentals), the Budget Board & Disney Tips. As I get closer to my trip home, I check the Theme Park & the Restaurants boards. So much great info out there!

My votes go to Transportation, Restaurants and I check the Resorts too just to see what's going on there. Questions regarding DVC resorts come up now and then.

It's a combination of fun and frustration, but there is also some great info on it. I lurk at a few others when particular questions arise.

I feel the same way--I post on the CB occasionally but I don't think anyone there would notice if I never did I spend a lot of time on the Trip Planning boards.

I usually go in a certain order, and it depends on how much time I have to look up things.

1. DVC (although I don't own DVC )
2. Resorts Board
3. Theme Park Board
And then if I really have time to spare:
4. Community Board

If I'm planning a vacation then I hit the resorts/restaurant boards. But I love the community board! I realize some of these people have met and know each other but I've never felt unwelcomed there.

When it's PS planning time, I'm on the Restaurant board... Immediately following a trip, I do the Restaurant and Resort board.

Once in a while I check out the action on the Canadian board Yes...I'm a home-sick Canuck!

I'm also now starting to poke around on TUG, and Yahoo forums. I'm thinking about adding a non-DVC timeshare to my "portfolio".

I always start here on DVC.

Then on to some others in this order: Transportation, Resorts, Parks and then Community. But I agree, the CB is a whole different world. Kind of like watching a train wreck.

Just before a trip, I'll check the Restaurants, but that's it. And yes, there are a couple of non-DIS Disney boards I'm at too.

Like KNWVIKING said, it can get rather frustrating over there. But it also a little different mindset with the non-DVCers. It's more of a News / Debate Board. It is actually quite good reading. We have some good essay writers over there.

I also check out the restaraunt board and others as topics arise on the rumor board. I usually lurk on the other boards to see how they are reacting.

DCL (when I'm planning a cruise)
Universal Resorts (we always split our stays)
Universal Parks

Then when I'm really bored I occationally check out:

Debate Board...but I get into trouble there so I usually just lurk.
Community Board...but I usually lurk except during American Idol II!!!

We always start with DVC, then look at Theme Parks, Universal Parks/Resorts (we also usually split our stays), WDW Restaurants and Resorts. Sometimes we lurk in the Community Board, (agree with previous posts that it sometimes feels like we're intruding) if a topic grabs us, we chime in.

1. Resorts -- this is out of habit --- from the days before we owned DVC (sure am glad I'm not waiting frantically for November discounts). I want to keep in touch with the rates, especially since there are some resorts we love and might stay 1-2 nights at the beginning or end of our trip.

Visit ~ once/week:

4. Restaurants

5. Universal resorts

DVC is my favorite, and sometimes I go to Attractions, but now I'm interested in seeing what's on the Transportation bd, could use a car discount for Oct. I'll be motoring that way directly!
