What other discounts for September?

Well, I'm all booked for free dinning at Pop Sept. 12-15 and it now looks like my sisters may join me. They won't know for a couple of months yet, but if they can make it what kind of discounts should I be on the lookout for? I'll check and see if the free dinning plan has opened up at Pop (nothing available right now), but if it isn't will we see a general public type room only discount? They don't have APs or AAA. What about the 40% off that I've seen a lot of people talk about? Was it some special kind of code?

The 40% off was a special code that was mailed/emailed by Disney to specific addresses, so only those people could use it. Depending on how booked the resorts are, sometimes Disney does issue room only discounts for that time of year. I believe the AP one came out in July last year, and the public code not too long afterward. So if they aren't sure if they're going, they would have time to decide.

However, if it's important that they be at the same resort as you are, they may have to go ahead and reserve their room now. I understand that the values are filling up fast with free dining, etc., and it's very possible they may end up in a different resort. If that's not a problem, then I would wait to see what discounts may be offered.

Have they considered joining AAA? I'm saving enough on my September ressie to cover the fee to join many times over (still hoping for a better AP code though).
