Not that all the parks and entertainment aren't enough right?? Ha!

Since we'll be at WDW for 9 days the end of September, I'm looking for an activity for my girls (5 and 6). They've done the Pirate Cruise at the GF already. Isn't there one from the YC? Is it pretty much the same thing?

What else is there for the kids?

Thanks

My kids did the Pirate Cruise last April from the Beach Club. They loved it! They were read the story of the Albatross, then practice Pirate language (Argh!!) then boarded the boat. The found parts of a treasure map on the water, on parts of the island and then went into Epcot (the World Showcase was not open yet) to Canada and Mexico and found the rest of the map. Then they found the treasure and split it up. We were thinking of the one at the GF for out June trip. Does it sound the same?

Other ideas:
The butterfly release at the GF every Thursday at 11 a.m.
Bibbidy Bobbidy boutique
Alice's tea party at GF
Grand Adventures in Cooking program, I think they make and eat cupcakes
Family Magic tour and MK
My kids love to make the masks and do the passport books at Epcot
We have done the Behind the Seeds tour at Epcot, which my older kids loved, but my 4yo fell asleep and I had to carry him the whole 2 hours!

Have you looked into the Family Magic Tour? It is WELL worth the money and with the ages of your girls, they would LOVE IT!!!!

Where are you staying? If you are at one of the resorts on Bay Lake or the 7Seas Lagoon you could rent a boat:boat: . We did and it was fun! The Grand Floridian has a kids cooking class:stir: they do during the week only and requires reservaions. They get a chefs hat and apron I think and when they are done making their stuff they get to parade through the lobby and offer it to the guests. Go to the Hoop-Dee-Doo one night. It is so much fun and if you go early enough there is a petting zoo and sometimes pony rides. It is at Fort Wilderness and there is also a playground. It was one of the highlights of our trip right before Easter. I highly recommend a day at your resort pool and nothing else in the middle of the trip to just kind of rejuvinate:thumbsup2 . My kids love just being at the pool and I get to just relax and get some sun. There's no rushing around and no stress! If you have a car:car: you could go to Sea World too. It's pretty close by and though expensive it is fun. Have fun. We sure did and I can't wait to go back!:disrocks:

Thanks for the suggestions guys!! Gives me some great ideas to look into.

Vanryan: the pirate cruise at the GF is similiar but a little different. They get on the boat at GF dock and from what I got out of my kids they sang pirate songs etc. The boat took them to an undisclosed location on the lake (they weren't sure where) they hunted for treasure and had lunch.

We're doing the boutique definately and maybe I'll look into the Family Magic Tour.

Thanks again!!

boat rentals....taking in the Boardwalk at night....DTD....Family Magic Tour (awesome!)....Behind the Seeds Tour....making masks in Epcot...Wishes cruise...Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique...Fort Wilderness Campfire....Riding the horses at FW....the luau....

My DD8 did Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in January and loved it- and she isn't a real "girly" type. She had her hair and makeup done- the Pop Princess look. she walked around for the next 3 days with her hair all done up.

We are trying the Ft Wilderness campfire this fall- they have storytelling and sing-a-longs, and Chip and Dale come out to play with the kids. You can buy or bring s'more supplies and roast marshmallows over the fire. Then, there is a nightly Disney movie at the outdoor screen. They even have wagon rides!

The Animal Kingdom Lodge has a new "Bush Camp" program on Saturdays- if your DDs are into animals, it sounds like fun.

Don't forget the movies...mini golf.....The Spa (if you have little girls you can do it together-they have special prices for them).....swim...arcade....Kennedy Space Center....Merry go round at DTD...Disney Quest....hidden mickey hunt...horseback riding at Ft. Wilderness...Adventures in Cooking at the GF for the kids...
