They get rid of the potatoes and I be kickin' some Disney hiney. I LOVE those potatoes. I could care less whether they're Polynesian, Russian or from Mars...I want my darn Potatoes!

I think the major thing I would change is to get rid of the sausage and put the shrimp back on the skewers. The sausage was my least favorite thing there(never ate off the old menu). Because they were transitioning to the new menu we got served both the shrimp wontons and the wonton chips. Of course, the shrimp wontons were much better..and I'll take the green beans anyday over the mixed veggies...with that said, we loved Ohana and overall I have no major problems with the new menu. I can get pineapple and caramel at my local grocery....so keep that bread pudding--pleeease!

Wow. Does *anyone* like the sausage? Maybe if everyone asks for "no sausage" Disney will replace that with something better- like pretty much anything. (Ick)

Dump the sausage, and bring back the shrimp skewers!!!!

I could only hope!

I just called Ohana the other night and spoke with a manager. He said they are NOT changing the menu, but will be changing the way items are served.

Just thought I'd help squish the rumors :goodvibes

And I do like the sausage, although they are sometimes overcooked if you ask for different ones the servers are normally happy to get you some that are "less crispy" as I call it :thumbsup2

I remember years ago, like 1998 or 1999, they had lo mein instead of rice. I thought our girls then two and four, would really cause us to be asked to leave they ate so many platefuls! To me the lo mein was better than the rice, but our biggest gripe, especially younger DD, is the wontons. I thought she was going to break down and have a good old hissy fit when they told her no wontons. We actually didn't book the restaurant (first time for us in years) when we went in April because of that. Ruined it for her. :(

I loved the le mein, too!

I thought my BF was going to have that same wonton breakdown, too. lol ;)

I could deal with lo mein...love it actually...as I said before, potatoes to me just don't say "Polynesian". Lo mein would fit better than that.

Wontons. I loved them. Also, I heard there is no bread at the beginning of the meal, if so I would bring back that bread. Wow! That stuff was good.

Why we are on the subject, maybe they should just make it a choice old menu or new menu. Just a thought. I realize this can't be done, but I sure do miss the old menu.

If you made this poll a multiple choice vote, I would vote, because there is more than one thing that made me stop going to 'Ohana.

And I am probably not the only one who wants more than 1 thing back. That's why more people aren't going back is because there was more than 1 change. If it was one thing...like the green beans...I'd still be going to 'Ohana.

But for me, I want the shrimp wontons, the pineapple bread, the fried rice and the pineapple, and I don't want sausage period. I can deal with shrimp not on a skewer.

So there's my say...

Yep this is our take - and add to the fact that the stress of running the "games" and complaints for the menu changes, and its just not a relaxing place... we're not going back this time either, but I know there is no lack of adr and wait times, so I feel it just doesnt matter...

That is a tought one as I loved the Pinapple with caramel sauce so much but I voted for getting rid of the potatos and bringinh back the rice as I love having the rice to eat with the veggies, sauces and meats. I thought the potatoes were okay but they didn't really go with the meal well. We had one plate of the potatoes between the four of us and didn't finish it.

I would change everything you mentioned back to the old way!!! And bring back those desserts you could order extra-- the coconut ice cream ball was to die for..........

Yes - the COCONUT SNOWBALL! Was that the best thing, OR WHAT?????

I've got a few I'd love to see come back, but none of the poll choices :)

Add yet another vote for the Lo Mein. At least I managed to get the recipe.

I also miss the bread. And just to really date myself, I miss the banana-leaf wrapped chicken ;)

The wonton chips are nasty.

Don't like the sausage either. But everything else was pretty good. Must have hit them on a good night. Will go back.
