What on earth does this mean?

I called tonight and had the Disney visa discount applied to our April 2019 reservation. I just received our confirmation email, we have our DME info added but for our return flight, the new confirmation says this...

“Disneys Magical Express
Pickup Location :WDW Resorts
Dropoff Location :Orlando International Apt
Disney’s Magical Express

Mears Special Van Hotel to MCO: Please call Mears Transportation at (407) 423‑5566 for return reservations 24‑hours in advance of your scheduled departure. Plan to depart from your hotel at least three (3) hours prior to your flight time. Transportation will be via a specially equipped Mears van.”

Should I call back or not worry about it? The flt numbers and dates are correct in the email.. I have never seen this before wan was just wondering if I needed to change something?

Never seen it before either.
You can always go online and put the pickup info in for yourself, I know I would. But I wouldn't call, I'd just do it online
No harm in giving it to them again

You must make a specific reservation for Magical Express back to the airport, typically based on homebound flight number.

Best time to do this, if not already, is after landing in Orlando to start your vacation and before starting your day's activities morning of the day before the day you will (check out and) take DME back to the airport.

If you get, at your room door morning of the day before check out day, a reservation paper for the DME ride back to the airport and the time shown is correct then no further action is needed.

Before your vacation: Print the page mentioning Magical Express to Disney for check in day and bring that with you.

@dixielanfan73 I remembered something else. When we check in with ME upon arrival at MCO, they always ask about our return trip to MCO, to see if we want to schedule it. If yours isn't scheduled properly they can set it up then too. If you don't want to bother with doing it online now.

Not sure you understand the question.
OP has already stated they did provide the return flight info but got that strange message on their confirmation, rather than the traditional message.
Almost sounds like their pick up was accidentally coded as one that needs scheduling like possibly one with handicapped access (no idea if there is such a thing or not) or something

The bold makes is strange advice though. Why not provide their arrival and departure flight info all at once, if they've booked round trip, or as soon as booked? Why wait till you land?

And no longer necessary to print anything regarding ME for arrival. Just need your MB now *unless you are not getting your MB until you reach the resort.

"Why wait 'til you land?"

To reduce the chance of something else, perhaps related to the Disney bound travel, getting messed up when you poke or tweak or perturb your reservation or My Disney Experience regarding the home bound travel.

"no longer to print anything regarding DME for arrival"

Are you sure that welcoming area CMs never again ask about having an advance DME reservation?

I didn't say anything about the CM asking about an advance DME reservation or needing or not needing one.
I said you don't need the printout. They even tell you this somewhere on the documentation. All you need is a MB.
The only ones who need to bring a printout are guests who are not eligible to receive their MB prior to arrival, for whatever reason.
And yes, I'm positive that if you have a MB, you do not need the printout. I've flown in more than enough times. The printout is not required.

And you don't enter your ME info with Disney directly. You provide it to ME/Mears. It won't tweak or perturb or otherwise do anything to your MDE at all.

Has there been any record of anyone messing something up and cancelling/changing their return trip on DME? I'm guessing that "chance" you're trying to reduce is so close to zero to begin with, it makes no sense to worry about it. Give them your return flight info and be done. *IF* an airline changes the FLIGHT NUMBER, then notify DME. I understand DME monitors flight changes, so if your departure time changes, they should automatically compensate.

Also, as I've mentioned, when you check in to ME it has to show them your return (or lack thereof) info. The CM ask us every single time if we need to set up our return flight info.
So happens we don't use ME back to MCO so we don't want to set it up. But if someone does want to, and either has forgotten or thinks they have and it's messed up, they'll have a chance then to provide the info.

Thanks for the advice! As many times as we have done this, I have never seen that message! I called in the flight numbers the day Jet Blue opened their schedules for April 2019.. while the confirmation had the correct flight numbers printed on it, maybe DME system didn’t recognize the flight number? I’ll try and update it online. Thanks again!

It looks like the CM may have put in that you need special assistance or wheel chair access.

If it were me and I had the time I might make a call and double check, although if the hold times are long I would disconnect. You can also just ask about this when you check in for DME or at the resort prior to your departure.

My only concern would be them sending an accessible bus for that run when it isn't necessary -

that almost sounds like it's for a handicap accessible vehicle.

Interesting. I don't remember ever being asked that!

Sorry to double up I missed the above when I replied but I also think this is the response for handicap access.

As far as the CM checking on your return trip to the airport, IME if you have one booked they don't always confirm it but if you don't they are prompted to check. We are about 50/50 as we don't always return directly from Disney and occasionally use a ride share. Anytime we have a one way DME reservation they do check to see if we need a return trip or not.

The CM accidentally keying in the OP for handicapped van access is what jumped to my mind too. Especially if it is just a checkbox on their screen or something. I know I have inadvertently checked a box while clicking on the screen once or twice myself.

And yes, they only ask us about our return trip because we book just one way for ME every time. We either leave from Universal or use Ride Share, we never use ME back. So anyone who has booked their return trip wouldn't get the question.

Update...Soo I did end up calling to see what the Mears shuttle message on my confirmation was all bout. The cast member looked into it and said not to worry, the flight information is in the system and while he did see the message, he wasn't sure why it was there but the DME was all set..blah, blah, blah... So there is 15 minutes I can't get back lol. I'm just going to leave it be and wait to see what comes with my DME luggage tags. The girl that applied my Disney Visa discount, put me on a brief hold due to "magical enhancements" while she was modifying my reservation, so maybe something happened there..who knows...as long as I can get TO my hotel I'm good ;)
