We're looking to plan a trip, a budget trip, preferably, to WDW. Something that needs to be high on the list is an offsite hotel that has good shuttles, as my mom has a heart condition and will need to be able to go back and forth to the hotel relatively easily. She won't have a rental car, but we may.
But, as I said, we're trying to do this on a budget. Any ideas?

with a heart condition in the florida heat - you want her to wait for an offsite bus.

sorry - I would make sure you or your husband drive her back and forth.

offsite only come a few times a day - plus there is no guaranteed there will be room for her. plus you are surpose to wait for them - not the reverse - so if it is late she can be waiting for an hour in the Florida heat.

stay at a WDW value resort - or be prepared to drive your mother around.

now promise that you won't make her take the bus when heat and humdity are enough to kill her

here are few

some choice hotels offer a free shuttle others don't.

Have you checked out the Value resorts at WDW?
What about the Downtown Disney hotels (they are not disney owned, but are on Disney property)?
I think those would be your best options.
When are you planning to go? What exactly is your budget for hotel? These things will help us to give you more info.
Also, go to orlandoinfo.com and order the planning kit and magicard (for discounts on hotels, attractions besides wdw, food, etc.
HTH!

Practically NONE of the 'budget' hotels have the type of shuttle you want. Generally they take you in the morning and pick you up in the evening. The only places I have seen with more frequent shuttle don't qualify as 'budget" (Gaylord Palms, Hyatt Regency etc)

the WDW value resorts are generally cheaper than the above ones.
