What NOT to miss at AKL...

We will be there in June for 4 nights and I was wondering what things would you recommend for us to do...
We will also try to go the 1 park a day....

What time do they feed the animals?
What time are the campfire stories?

It is one thing to read about things but a personal view of something makes it sound sooo much better...

Do the night vision goggles. They are out on the savanna and are fun to do. Gives you some insight to how the military uses them.

1. View through the night vision goggles as mentioned above.
2. Storytelling around the firepit (times vary-typically around 6:30PM).
3. Evening talks about Africa in the lounge (typically around 8:30PM).
4. Dinner at Boma.
5. Kitchen Tour (was at 4 when I went. Includes samples of food in Jiko).
6. An art tour. Admire the art in the main lobby as well as in the knuckles of each wing.

I noticed that all of the activities are listed on a bulletin board by the bathrooms in the waiting area at Boma. Times vary based on sunset and how busy the resort is.

There is also a bulletin board listing the times of different activities by the front desk. This was pointed out to me at check in.

We thought the night goggle thing was neat and was the only thing we really made a point of doing. While I only used the goggles for a minute or so it was interesting to speak with the CM that was supervising. She worked with the animals seemed very happy to answer questions.
