Today I learned!
I thought you guys had laws or something, preventing you from doing that sort of thing to your flag.
I do know that when some American protester came up to burn our flag on Parliament Hill, several decades ago, the RCMP officer on site gave them tips on how to do it safely and even offered them his lighter when theirs turned out to be nonfunctional. I think it took some of the wind out of their sails.
To be fair, many here see wearing the flag as disrespectful, but people still do it. And it's covered under freedom of speech.
