What!! No Parade?

I cannot believe what im hearing..NO PARADE!..Whats happened ? I have have a 2 week trip planned & this is my favorite bit!! Is this true?

Just as an FYI, there is still an afternoon parade in the MK.

MSEP ended in the MK last fall.

Without a nighttime parade, MK has been feeling quite empty. It's still so weird not hearing that Electrical Parade music throughout the park.

I'm sorry you are disappointed. I don't miss it at all. I don't think Disney is "slipping ".

I can't see how the removal of a major nighttime attraction with no replacement on the horizon can be counted as anything but a negative.

It's one of the things that made Disney special and different than other theme parks. So, yes, it is concerning that they have made no effort to replace it.

I don't like parades, but I liked that one. I even sat and waited for it once or twice when my kids were little, unlike the afternoon parades which didn't interest anyone. However, I won't really miss it. It made trying to find a good spot just to see fireworks a 3 hour affair because the fireworks were after the parade, and everyone was there for the parade.

I was glad to see it go and enjoy MK at night more now.

Seemed like for whatever reason anytime at night when the parade was going is when I would need to cross the pathway and would have to wait. Not to mention that awful music.

There are still nighttime parades at the parties, so I guess it makes those more special.

Personally, I was over MSEP so didn't mind seeing it go but would like to see them bring another one. I was sorry they didn't announce a new one yesterday.


And there is a parade every day, FoF is awesome, way better than MSEP ever was if you ask me

Personal thoughts -
- I was over MSEP way back before it came back. Loved Spectromagic.
- So I don't miss it for personal reasons.
- Happily Ever After has huge crowds that on our nights were hard to and hardly managed.
- I don't see it feasible to have a parade and HEA with current hours.
- No parade means evening hours can stay shorter.
- No parade has not slowed down attendance.
- No parade, shorter hours may push to other parks or DS at night.
- I think they'll bring a new parade for the 50th.

After all of the multi-million dollar additions to WDW that were announced yesterday, I'm hard pressed to define Disney as "slipping". MK has two new evening shows - perhaps try to enjoy those?
