What new Apps did you get ?

I'm sure lots of DISers got an ipod or ipad under the tree. What new apps have you picked up so far ? Looks like the EA sale is still on at the moment...

kids got an ipad -

so far we have loaded...

games - angry bird, wheel of fortune, boogle, harry potter lego, tetris and solitare

others - netflix, abc, skype

having issues synching with my computer - anyone else having issues with the sync?

Love Boggle and Angry Birds. Been pondering the AB Holiday pickup. Also thinking 99 cents is a pretty sweet deal on Yahtzee from the EA sale.

We got the kids touches for Christmas. Angry birds holiday is one of their top picks. There is a very cool Disney one that has wallpapers, photo overlays, trivia & all kinds of stuff on it for a buck. Pimple Popper and Air horn seem to be popular with the 4 of them also, lol

My daughters ages 10 and 12 just purchased glow doodle for 99 cents and they seem to like it.

I second pitureka. My kids have played this for the last two days on my new iPad. I am almost wishing I bought them one as it is the quietest they have been all week.

and when I was setting it up I thought there was a book program that came with a free "Winnie the Pooh". I didn't set it up right away and now I can't find it. Any ideas? Are there other free books I can get?


We've only done free apps so far.. sheep launcher, bubble shooter, and word shaker (like boggle) are the favorites so far.

I know Pictureka, Scrabble, and Angry Birds have already been mentioned, and they rock! Don't forget Toy Story Mania, and a movie trivia one that's cute for 1.99 is MovieCat. I downloaded ooTunes internet radio for 5, based on somebody's recommendation here, and there are lots of Disney stations, comedy, etc (but you have to be on Wi-fi to use).

If you do a search for a specific app, the lite version should show up as well. Also, you can do a search on youtube for a specific app. Sometimes people post reviews that show parts of the game.

The one with the free Winnie the Pooh book is iBooks. I have it on my iPhone.

Kindle app has free books, cheap books and expensive books, but the app is free and it's great. If you have a kindle or a droid or iphone, the books will also sync to your phone or device and automatically go to your place no matter which device you last read on.
