What "new and improved" product do you wish hadn't been improved?

It seems like all the time companies try to change a good thing. :confused3

The latest product is my Dorities. Not just the bag has changed but they don't taste like my old Doritoes.

Also, I love Snuggle fabric dryer sheets but now they've added some sparkle thing to it and for me, it's way too smelly.

What product do you love that has changed supposedly for the better? :stir:

This was a while ago but Wheatables.... they aren't even remotely similar!

I used to love Wachamacallit candy bars in my teens. Then they decided to improve it by adding caramel. Yuck! :sad2: I sure miss the original.

Not what you're expecting, but certainly along the same line:

World of Motion/Test Track

Horizons/Mission Space

Original Journey Into Imagination/latest two versions

Top of the World/California Grill

Empress Lilly w/Empress Room/Fulton's Crabhouse

and that's just a start...

It seems like they keep adding milk to everything these days. What the heck is milk doing in my potato chips? And we are down to one type of bread, all the rest have added milk or butter. I think it is the nutrional labeling rules, milk is a cheap easy way to get nutrient into things....

My son is very allergic to milk...

My International Foods Hazelnut coffee..they took some of the fat out (according to them) and now it tastes like caramel, not Hazelnut. I guess it is better for me not to have it, but it helped keep my cravings for chocolate at bay for some reason.

:wizard:

I liked the bagged Chex Mix back in the early 90s when it first came out, and had peanuts in it. It was more like the homemade stuff then.

SeaBreeze!!!! :sad2: I am still hacked off at Helen of Troy! :sad2:

Oreo cookie cereal, I loved it before they added the marshmellows and made it new and impoved!

I used to love the 5th Avenue candy bars before they removed the almonds. :confused3

I miss the good old plain mint Crest toothpaste. You know, the one with the green triangle on the box - before they added gel and baking soda and fresheners and all that junk.

Shamrock shakes! Actually, all flavors of the new McDonald's "triple-thick" shakes--blech! You can't even sip it through 2 straws! (Remember when McD's shakes were good, and you were a kid and did that. :) )

Oodles of Noodles.

Sure, it's still fun to say, but the taste is totally different!! My sisters and I (and lots of kids in the neighborhood) grew up with Oodles of Noodles as a treat. We found all sorts of ways to eat it! Then they changed the chicken flavor at least ten years ago, and it hasn't been the same since.

*sigh*

How I long for some old school Oodles of Noodles.... :sad2:

Kraft Mac and Cheese used to be my favorite. I made it for my son the other day--it was NASTY

Years ago they changed the formula of Cracklin Oat Bran Cereal. It was one of my favorites. But after they added cinnamon to it I never bought it again. I hate the taste of Cinnamon.

Saran Wrap. It used to be so clearly better than other plastic wraps that cheap me was willing to pay the difference. Now, it's cheaper proportionately (not as big a gap between its price and other wraps) but no better than Glad, Handiwrap, storebrand, etc.

Oatmeal Raisin Crisp used to be my favorite cereal. They did bad things to it and also to Clusters a few years ago.

Revlon Colorstay make-up...

It was great for covering acne/scars.

The new 'lighter' version does not have as good of coverage.

Ponds used to make a great Night & Day Age Defying moisturizer duo. Overnight my age spots would be gone & my skin smooth & retexturized. Now, they have some crappy stuff out that does nothing for my skin. :p

Coca-Cola Classic. it really does not taste like the original Coke, before they "brought it back."

I know not many people like Chef Boyardee, but what the heck did they do to the regular Ravioli recipe? It's soupy and doesn't taste the same. I just can't eat it anymore.

Reynolds Wrap-It is too thin. I now have to pay more for the heavy duty to get the original product.

McDonalds french fries-I didn't eat many but I don't like what they are cooked in now. I know it's suppose to be healthier but they ruined them.
