What My Experience was with my PIN vs the 4/3 Deal!

So I have been reading the last few weeks and seeing how everyone was either getting pin codes or not and seeing that there were many different offers for different codes and wondering why I never seem to get sprinkled with the Pin Code Pixie Dust. But I had booked the 4/3 special for the GF over my birthday and that was enough for me.

Well last night I went into my email and yep that Pin Code Fairy had sprinkled the Dust on my email and I received a PIN Code.

It was an offer for 3/1-4/16 book for 2 adults at a Value Resort for $549 each and with this offer you got a $500 gift card. Other resorts at different levels were available.

Then if you booked 4/17-6/6 you got a room rate discount but NO Gift Card.

Well I called very hopeful that maybe with the room rate discount for my birthday in May I could upgrade to a higher level room then I booked for the 4/3 special.

Well it was roughtly $4000 MORE then the 4/3 offer for a Concerige room, $2000 more for a Theme park View and about $1000 more for the same view as I have booked already with the PIN code offer.

So for roughly $2100 I'll be staying at the GF on my birthday with the Buy 4 Get 3 Offer and I will never beg for a PIN code again because if it happens it happens, I just may not be able to use it to my benefit anyways.

I just thought i'd share my experience and what I found for pricing with the two options.

Did you buy tickets too? If so, that's probably where you are saving hugely.

I had basically the same result when I compared the 7-for-4 deal with the pin code offer. (We are AP holders, so in either case, we were getting one day, no hopper passes.) However, we were planning to add a couple of extra nights to the week we already had booked, which I was able to do with the pin code offer, getting a $300 gift card on a 3 night package, so it worked for us, but it definitely is not a better deal than the 7-for-4 deal if you are planning to stay for a week at one of the deluxe resorts.

I called and had them price it out to compare the 40% off PIN code to the 4/3 deal we already had in March for the ASMu Family Suites. It was about $60 more not counting the $200 gift card. We kept our 4/3 deal.

IMO you should rebook. You would be up $140 with the pin code.
