What movies make you cry?

I had to jump in on this thread because I am always getting made fun of for crying at everything!

My Sister's Keeper
Marley and Me
StepMom
Selena (especially when the husband breaks down at the end, OMG)
Safe Haven (most recent, that ending really though?)
The Little Mermaid (when her dad accepts her with Eric at the end! LOL)
Lion King (poor mufasa :( )
The Notebook
Dear John
Remember the Titans
We Bought a Zoo
The Vow
Happy Feet Two (what it is to be a parent :sad2:)
Mars Needs Moms
Vampire Diaries (not a movie but always gets me going)

theres much more but these are some of my faves and I can go on forever lol

Ladder 49 gets me...when John Travolta shows up at the house :( :(

Im a sap and cry at entirely too many movies...but ladder 49 is the top one. My dad and brother are both firefighters and the movie just hits very close to home. If its on tv, I have to watch it. Of course, if dad or brother are on duty, i have to call and tell them be safe-They always laugh and ask if I am watching ladder 49 again

Yep, pretty much all of them.

When I watch a movie or read a book, I become so engrossed in it that I tend to feel what the characters feel. I'm very sensitive. I always have been.

OMG How can I forget this movie! That part gets me too, every single time I watch that movie. I was a big fan of hers too, the fact that its a biopic of such an extraordinary talent makes this movie even more heartwrenching.

I always cry at Up and Toy Story 3

As I am a school teacher and my sons were very involved with the music program at their school I always cry at the last 15 minutes of Mr Holland's Opus. Now that I am getting ready to retire I can't imagine how much harder I am going to cry.

The first few minutes of UP..... which is still a better story than Twilight.... I ugly cried and had mascara rivers on my face. My DH thought I had a nervous breakdown.
Then I saw Toy Story 3.... did it AGAIN... snot and everything

Don't know if it's been said, but "My Life" with Michael Keaton. I cry when the opening credits start rolling and I don't stop until long after the closing credits have ended.

OMG yes!!! I remember I saw that with my ex boyfriend and the following week we saw Philadelphia! I remember saying after that we HAD to see a comedy next because I couldn't take another tear jerker!

A lot of the ones mentioned here already.

Stepmom is one that I know I should NOT watch but I HAVE to watch it and I cry like a baby.

Toy Story 3. I thought it was because when it came out my youngest DD was going to be leaving to go to school..but I still get all weepy.

Steel Mognolias does me in.

A Walk To Remember.

One no else has mentioned...The Way We Were. There are a few parts during the movie, but the end where she meets up with him again on the street and she brushes that hair off his forehead...

THE original Griffin & Phoenix with Peter Falk/Jill Clayburgh

no one ever mentions that one, am I the only one to ever see it?

Bambi, of course.

East of Eden
Rebel Without a Cause
Giant
E.T.
Steel Magnolias

The Yearling
Empire of the Sun
Do the Right Thing
It's a Wonderful Life
The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman
Cinema Paradiso
What's Eating Gilbert Grape?
Brian's Song
Big
Tree of Life
The Titanic

You know, I won't even watch or read anything new that is clearly centered on being a tearjerker anymore. I know, I'm potentially missing out on some great cinema/literature, but I just...can't...take it! I was a little hacked off at "Up". It certainly redeemed itself, but good lord Disney! Are you trying to kill me with that first part?! Oh, and any and all animal movies? Forget it. You just know they're dying at the end, and...just...nope. Saw "Where the Red Fern Grows" when I was a kid, that was traumatic enough for me thankyouverymuch.

That being said, I still watch "Color Purple" whenever it comes on. And every single time I'm bawling at the end. "Nettiiieeeeee!!!" Okay, tearing up again just thinking about it. Darn it!

Million Dollar Baby
Steel Magnolias
Brave Heart

ET, Every freakin time I watch it.

Elliot: You could be happy here, I could take care of you. I wouldn't let anybody hurt you. We could grow up together, E.T.
:sad1:

E.T.: Come...

Elliot: [solemnly] Stay...

E.T.: [puts his finger to his glowing heart] Ouch.

Elliot: [mimics the same action, tearfully] Ouch.

E.T.: [E.T. and Elliot embrace each other, then E.T. puts his glowing finger to Elliot's forehead] I'll... be... right... here.

Elliot: [tearfully] ... bye.
