OK, OK, I'm pretty much decided on where we're staying next year. I'd like to split up our 8-day vaca. between Poly concierge and YC concierge. I can't wait, but I look at my countdown, and it seems like forever! Anyway, my question is, what is the lastest I can wait to make ressies? We are going in August, I usually go thru an agent, but want to do it myself this time. I am also planning on buying an AP, in hopes that I can apply a discount, but not assuming I will be able to. Thanks for your help!!!:D

i would book now. we already have booked for may, 2004. and since august is right before schools start that might be when most are trying to get in "one last" hurrah for summer. book now, add codes later. we have done that several times.

We're already booked for July, 2004 but I'm holding off on purchasing that AP. I'll wait to see if I can even get an AP discount first. You never know if Disney will offer AP codes or not. The trend seems to be to offer discounts on packages and not room-only.

I booked our upcoming vacation in November way back in October 2002. So glad I did because we were one of the lucky ones who got to upgrade at a nominal fee to the Yacht Club from Port Orleans French Quarter.

We booked our Sept 2004 reservations one week after returing from our August 2003 vacation. We had such a great time and now I have something to look forward to next year! My TA will take care of watching the codes for me so I don't have to worry about getting the best deal. :D

What if you book the Dolphin by calling directly, then Disney comes out with a SUPER deal like the FTP next year? Would you be able to transfer your ressie, or would you have to cancel and start again? Was the Dolphin part of the FTP this summer? We're just trying to decide what to do, if going thru WDTC or otherwise would be the best. No one in our party has AP, but we can get teacher's discounts.

When we went this past summer, we booked only about 2 months ahead of time.

We booked our July 2004 vacation in July of this year. I think the earlier the better. Especially if you are wanting a particular resort or room type. You can always apply a discount code to your vacation when one comes available.
