October

WE chose it because we both have summer birthdays and WINTER in MI is out!!!!! It was either SEpt or oct. and friend who was decorating was only aval one weekend in sept and 1 in oct. 1 in sept was to close to labor day so we chose oct.

We got married October 8, 1999 - chose the month because we October is important to us - we started dated on the same date 1991, got engaged on Halloween 1998, and decided that to get married on the same day we started dating. 10 & 8 are two important reoccuring numbers in our lives - it's uncanny how many times it shows up prior to us even knowing each other and has kept on being a constant in our lives so we got married on 10/8 - 8 years after we started dating and still going strong. We celebrated our honeymoon in WDW and just returned for our anniversary this year as well. We both also love October in New England - leaves changing, the smell of fall in the air, weather is still normally reasonable, etc.

October -- we wanted a fall wedding and we couldn't have in in September, as our florist was getting married that month, so we pushed it back a month.

It was peak foliage in CT and we had a ton of out of town guests from CA, AZ, etc who had never seen a true fall New England wedding. It was perfect!

We got married on October 11, 1997. No particular reason other than it took a little over year to plan it the way we wanted it to be. So, October it is!

It was only based on timing--we were both in college (different schools) at the time. Spring break coincided luckily (because nothing else did!), so there you have it. Although considering the weekend we got married was a record-breaking heatwave, I still stand by my wishes that we had simply eloped.

July. It's when my Canadian relatives and friends had holidays to be able to attend. I got married in NY. If they had been able to come at a diffferent time I would have been married in the fall. It was beyond hot this July here.

Nov. 8th. Wanted to get married in the fall. One sister got married in Sept., the other Oct., so that left November.

We were married May 26th. We chose this weekend b/c we were waiting for my DH to graduate from Law School and he graduated the weekend before!

We got married in June on my birthday. He's the best birthday gift I've ever received!

September -- Labor Day weekend (the thinking was that we'd always have a 3-day weekend around our anniversary). I got divorced 5 years later in October.

We married in December, that way it was easier to include relatives from out of town... they had come for Christmas and stayed a few extra days for our wedding. Plus, we always take the week off between Christmas and New Year's, so we can always be together on our anniversary.

Got engaged on New Year's Eve. We wanted to have the wedding within a year, so we decided on October. The place we fell in love with to have the reception only had the weekend after Thanksgiving open. We have regretted it ever since as it makes us lose our anniversary to Thanksgiving!
