What Makes Your Trip?

Just getting time to relax and enjoy the time with my DH is enough. Since we are DVC and have many trips ahead the crowds don't bother us (but we prefer quieter times).

A visit wouldn't be complete for me without stopping to see the Dumbo statue in the hub.

A visit also wouldn't be complete without watching Illuminations and walking through the countries of Epcot after dark.

We'll be there in June!

I am very lucky to be going, so as long as it doesn't rain all day every day for seven days, that will pretty much make my trip. I have no idea what my hotel will be like, but as long as it is decent, I will be very happy. Only ten more days!!!

AND it is dangerous to Spectromagic parades!!!!! We had one highly anticpated Spectro cancelled because of a storm that started blowing in about 8:15 one night! Of all the luck! :sad2:

I have also been at MGM (with my Mom), waiting for Fastasmic, when the rain came barreling in right when it was scheduled to start. Had to go back to the hotel a bit disappointed and wet. I did not think my shoes would ever dry out.

Luckily, we caught it the next night. :)

What used to make the trip for me was IASW. I rode that ride at least once a year for a good 15 years straight. Then I went through Disney drought and missed a lot of years. Last year was the first year I had been after being married and having DS5. What makes my trip is seeing the excitement on my son's face when he sees <insert any character here> at the opening of the park or gets to meet Peter Pan. Of course, seeing DH get his first glimpse of the castle was pretty magical, too. I've learned that there is nothing better than experiencing the park with someone who is there for the first time. :goodvibes

seeing my DW recoil in horror on Dinosaur!! she knows its coming and is a horror fan but seeing this reaction every time we ride Dinosaur really makes my trip. we both get a good laugh out of this. then we make plans to go back on it at least once before we leave AK.

there are so many examples i could use

Just being there with DBF.. enjoying ourselves and forgetting all the stresses of work and life. Oh, and a Mickey Ice Cream bar!! :mickeybar

Our first trip starts tomorrow and this is my wish list:
a smooth trip down
good health (starting a bit of a sore throat today)
would be nice to not have long lines at rides
most of all, HAPPY Children- I am going to impress upon them the need to not fuss over little problems!

What makes my trip???

Seeing my two DD"s face light up as we walk down Main Street to the castle....or when they see Mickey for the first time on the trip.....or when they are watching the fireworks....or when they tell me I am the best mommy for taking them to Disneyworld...or when....... :teeth:

Just being there away from all cares in the world with my family. The anticipation is so great I even enjoy the 9 hour drive getting there and my favorite moment is driving onto the pro and seeing the welcome to WDW sign.

Seeing the look of amazement on my sons face! Last year my son answered the phone when Mickey called to wake us in the morning. If you could have seen his face you would have been floored. After he hung up he said "Mom, I think that was MM and he said he can't wait too see me at the park...can you believe he called me". Now, that's what Disney is about!:sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

The excitement & smiles of my kids make this trip a must do every year while our other family vacation varies.

It also doesn't hurt if the crowds are as low as possible; usually we can pick the lowest crowd time, this year being a little out of our control if we want to go at all. :sad2: But, hey, it's still WDW :cool1:
