What makes your town unique?

Simply that I live in it!!! :teeth:

Hey!!!!

That's my line!!!! I was scrolling to the end of the page and planned to post that when you came along.

We can beat you out cause not only does our town have us in it, but our high school mascot is a blue kangaroo.

And we're gassy!!

We're sitting on the Barnett Shale gas reserves. Lot's of well drilling in our backyards.

And the list goes on and on and on.

Moi is tired now. Gotta get my beauty rest :cloud9:

Maybe you can be King of the North and I can be Queen of the South.

Then our towns can both be unique because of us.

DH is calling me :wave2:

Hmm...we're the home of toasted ravioli, gooey butter cake, and pork steaks, and the ice cream cone, peanut butter, and 7-Up were all invented here. :thumbsup2

And apart from being the newly-annointed Most Dangerous City in America  , I really love this place. I grew up in a heavily sports-oriented family (my 1st baseball game was an A's game when I was 6 months old and it was Dad's day to babysit :teeth: ), and I love the way the people around here genuinely rally around our teams, like how every Opening Day of the baseball season is practically a holiday, the streets around Busch filled with red-clad people hours before gametime (ditto with all of the recent playoff games, and don't even get me started on the half-million people who turned out for the victory parade the Sunday after the Cards won the World Series).

I also love that the Irish branch of my family immigrated to St. Louis over 150 years ago, although they lived in an area that was actually mentioned in a guidebook at the time as having residents whose chief amusements included punching out each other's eyes.

Don't forget the lovely Gateway Arch. Not everyone has a 600ft croquet wicket in their front yard. :rotfl2:
