What Makes You Different?

Aw, you guys are wonderful!

A few more odd things about me:

~I am very very shy. To get to know me you have to make the first move.
~I am always singing something.
~I am not allowed to date and or have guys in my phone, of facebook etc even though I am 17.
~I am in love with Egytology, people say "that's not a real major" but frankly I don't care.

Is Egytology Egypt? I LOVE learning about Egypt! I find it so interesting.

I'm really sarcastic.
I'm really quiet. Seriously, my "loud" voice is even quiet.
I laugh at almost everything.
I like big words.
I've only ever had one guy like me, and I've only ever liked one guy. (Sadly, things didn't work out, but that's a story for a different thread)
I'm sixteen and I watch Disney Channel more than I watch MTV or any other TV station that people my age watch.

Also, I don't do the whole drinking/partying/drugs thing either, but I don't really think that makes me different because there are a lot of kids around here who don't do that stuff.

-I read for pleasure
-I write fanfiction frequently
-I like school most of the time
-I'm almost 15 and I've never had a boyfriend (which doesn't bother me)
-I'm usually always happy
-I'm a twin
-I enjoy a good musical
-I don't like many guys younger than 25
-I have an obsession with "old people music"
-I find humor in absolutely everything and anything
-I look up to people like Steve Carell, John Lennon, S.E. Hinton, etc.
-I've watched some movies so many times I can quote them verbatim
-I'm a huge grammar Nazi
-I use big words a lot
-I spell things out when I text instead of abbreivating them
-I've read my favorite books more than twice
-I don't like Twilight
-I've fallen in love with TV characters before
-I'm not a big fan of current teen celebrities (*gasp!*)
-I strongly dislike Disney Channel
-I'm always singing or humming something even though I can't really sing
-I laugh at stupid things
-I'm sometimes loud, but sometimes quiet
-I don't shop at stores like Hollister and Abercrombie
-I don't wear makeup
-I don't wear high heels
-I watch TV shows that my friends don't really like
-I enjoy chick-flicks more than the average girl should
-I'm usually very honest and sarcastic
-It takes time for me to trust a person 100 percent
-I people-watch in public
-Friends come to me for advice all the time
-I speak my mind, and hate bottling things up
-I really don't listen to what other people think of me
-I hate drama queens and gossips
-I'm not ashamed of the things I like, or what I think, or who I'm becoming

I can't think of much more besides for what other people have said.

okay im gonna write this now cuz im pumped up!
okay...Wat makes me different is tht i am not like the usual 16 year old teen guy....i dont smoke, i dont drink, i dont do drugs, and i dont watch pornography.
I set goals for myself, I have high morals...even though my parents never told me never do this..... never do tht..... I did it all by myself. I enjoy being a good person...I never get in trouble because i dont want to dissapoint my mom.
I do tend to be very shy but if someone starts talking about disney it all goes away.... Aand i think tht hte reason tht i dont have many friends is because most of the people at my school are not good people.
I love hanging out with my family! my family comes first.
I hate going to the movies with my friends cuz they always get me into trouble

well what makes me different from you guys appears to be my social habits LOL i drink quite often, and i smoke occasionally, i party a lot.
call me irresponsible.

what makes me different from my friends is my general behaviour.
-i'm very strange, i speak in voices other then my true voice more often than not (i put on accents or voices all the time)
-i'm pretty impulsive sometimes.
-i tell my mom everything--she knows about all of my shenanigans, about my love life, about all the friend drama, everything. i'm such good friends with my mom.
-im obsessed with Disney, which most of my friends don't understand.
-i could cry at almost every movie trailer i watch.
-when i watch movies/tv shows/even commercials i'm always thinking about the behind the scenes stuff and the acting principals being used.
-i speak french
-i'm going into my third year of uni and i still haven't a clue what i want to do
-i'm 20 and i've been in a relationship with the same guy for 3 years

i never knew how many people were JUST LIKE ME.
i'm too lazy to bother go quoting all the thousands that are just like me, but wow. there's a ton of people who are just like me on these boards!

-I'm a very unique person; I don't like to follow any of the trends that are out; I just do my own thing and wear what I want to

- I love making friends; although most people don't just go right up and talk to me because I am very "shy-ish" when I first go somewhere; I'm usually the one looking around, pretending like I don't care [One girl who became my friend thought I was EMO when she first came to my school because I was just sitting there, with my hair over my face; I was too shy to talk!! HAHA! How wrong she was...] But when I get comfortable with someone, the crazyness begins to surface ;D

-I am very sarcastic. Most people don't really like it [especially when it's about them], but I just can't help it; I AM sarcastic! Lol.

-I love love LOVE making people laugh. I'm always the one fooling around and making jokes because making sure my friends are happy is really important to me.

- I don't wear much makeup at all. Okay, I think I already mentioned this one, but I don't. I mean, I know it's the "cool" thing to wear noticeable makeup and all, but I really don't want to/need to. Basically the only things I put on sometimes when I want to look nice are a teeny bit of neutral skin-toned eyeshadow, a pinch of blush [where there's not some red already; I have naturally colored cheeks], and a layer of mascara. oh, and some eyeliner and concealer when I'm tired and I look scary haha
I really don't understand how some girls could put on a TON of that stuff EVERY SINGLE DAY. i have a friend [and this makes me sad, really] named Amy who is perfectly naturally beautiful and who has always been, but I think she either didn't think so, or really wanted some attention; something like that. But anyway, every single day she just piles on all this STUFF. So much of it I couldn't even believe my eyes! She is perfectly gorgeous if she would just put on a LITTLE BIT. *sigh* Lol okay enough with my rant. I just; I really believe in natural beauty, and when girls do tons of things just to cover it all up...it makes me sad.

-I love to write and read.

-I'm addicted to the computer.

-I actually don't find anything wrong with school. *gasp* oh, except having to wake up at 6 every morning [for me, anyway *sigh*]

Im really down to earth.
Sometimes i let my sister talk me into trying to be like evryone else.
i dont give in to peer pressure.
im 16 and ive never had a girl friend or neither have i kissed a girl..yet .
I love I love lucy.
I love everything disney and only my family knows....
I care too much about wat other people think of me (which i think comes from my sis and mom).
I want to be a show writing Imagineer..but I am serious about it im not one of those people tht say they want to be an Imagineer just because it sounds cool.
I just noticed yesterday tht my future is getting close and i need to concentrate on it.
Sometimes I take things too seriously.

I hate chat speak, too. I admit that I do chat speak in texting because it'd take too long to write certain stuff. And I read bday as "bee-day" I hate it when people do christmas as xmas...

i took anthropolgy in my first year of uni and it sort of sparks my interest again because my teaching assistant was specializing in egyptology. if you're really serious about it there are tons of university programs in anthropology that can point you in the right direction!

Yeah I am looking into it. It is a real passion of mine ever since I was a little girl. I was about 8 years old when The Mummy came out and ever since then I was hooked.

Yeah, I learned about it in 6th grade. Everyone thought it was boring but I thought it was pretty cool.

None of our classes ever really taught it to me. I more or less taught myself about Ancient Egypt.

when i was in high school, i dated a soccer player, so i went to all the soccer games, and there was a kid on the team from (some african country i can't spell) and on the last game of the season, his family flew his grandfather in to see him play. he spoke swahili, and it was really cool. i love the way that language sounds. (it was extra funny when he got mad and started yelling about the other team in swahili)

- I like being outdoors & I don't mind getting dirty & sweaty as long as I'm having fun.
- I get up early just about every day. Like 5 or 5:30am.
- I don't wear make-up. But I do wear earrings. All of the time.

- I like to fish and hunt (this actually doesn't make me all that different around my hometown/state, but probably so on the Teen Board).
- I am not very stylish. Not that you can be while you're on a boat, rocking in the water, cutting up fish for tourists.

- I went to my senior prom. But my date wasn't a guy.
- I love Celtic music.

I like getting up early. I like reading. I don't drink coffee. I'm obsessive. I don't drink soda. I don't drink, do drugs, smoke, anything like that. I've never been in a relationship. I like school. I like classical music, jazz, basically anything but rap. I recyle a lot of things and make them useful. I hate dances. I like video games. I love doing some geometry problems, they help me escape. I like history.

There's always some cluster of people somewhere that has the same likes or dislikes as me, so I'm not that different. lol.

Me and my friend are insanely stupid when we are together. We had a bet during last school year to see who could cross-dress the longest. I won, but I don't know if I could have made it much longer. We went like every day for about 13 days before he gave up.
