Second time was that this severly Motion sick person could ride Disney Rides with very little trouble. Since I found Meclizine 25mg I can ride ALL the WDW rides even Rockin'Roller Coaster ,TOT,and Space Mountain!! To me thats Magic!!

Do the Goofy bars have nuts? (watch it!)

Tell me more about the Meclizine. Is it OTC?
Are there side effects?

My wife gets motion sickness and I really like to find her something that would allow her to try more rides.

I might could eat a goofy bar if I didn't always have a beaver tail hangin' outta my mouth, eh?:smooth:

I think there is three catagories of Disney folks. Either you hate it, love it or are OBSESSED with it! I am the latter. My husband says I have Disney on the brain. LOL He didn't understand till his first trip in 1997. He fell madly in love himself. There is just something about the way Disney goes out of their way to make you feel special. Go and immerse yourself. Wear all the silly Disney regalia, play with characters, etc... see how long it takes to forget your troubles. Yes, it's pricey, but you can even feel the "magic" on a budget. Have fun! I will see the mouse myself in April!:D

My parents addicted me at age 5. They still love going and now DH and I take our DD. The place is magical! It can't be properly explained only experienced. There is something for everyone at WDW. No matter what your age or abilities at WDW you will find loads of stuff to do and have a blast. Go and enjoy and I'll bet you'll come back wondering when you can plan your next trip!! :D

Have fun planning and feel free to ask loads of questions here. People here are very informative.

I have loved reading everyone's responses... as another person obsessed with Disney - I agree with all of it. I cannot think of another place where the entire family can go and EVERYONE can have a good time... it truly is just MAGIC!

And even if you just look at WDW as an amusement park - sure, there may be a couple of them out there with more 'thrill rides' - but when it comes to the complete package and execution of a theme... NO ONE compares to Disney! And that's just part of the MAGIC! So enjoy! :D

Disney goes the extra mile. Their animatronics figures are so much more realistic than Six Flags. The secret to the Disney magic to me is the vision of Walt Disney. His incredible attention to detail manifests itself in many things that you can blow right by and never consciously notice. They go to such great lengths to create an experience, plus they have the magic of the characters. It comes down to one man's dream.

It's the complete feeling of happiness that just being there gives you. It's almost like they pump happy gas into the air, because anywhere on their property, you just feel happy. My thoughts as to why is so great, everyone of us has grown up loving Disney movies, and Disney played a huge part of some of the happiest times of our child hood. Disney caused us to dream, and awoke our imagination as kids, and help shape our lives. As a result, when your there, it brings back all of the wonderful feelings, dreams, thoughts, you knew as kid. You are living your childhood dreams. As long as your are they, you have permission, and are expected to be a kid again.

It *IS* like visiting the house of a beloved uncle--even though he's 'gone fishin' for a while. We did see 'Uncle Walt' every Sunday night while we were all in our pj's ready for bed. He told us the best bedtime stories. I think subconsciously we equate the name "disney" with childhood, happiness and being worry-free.

my two lincolns.

What makes WDW so special is that it is the only place that you can go and suspend reality. You enter into a fantasy and leave the rest of the world behind.

It seems that everywhere else that I go, my 3 little ones are bothering (e.g., making noise) someone dining or sitting by us without children. At WDW, they expect you to have excited kids and there are zillions of people around you with other excited kids. I love seeing my kids so happy & also, I love seeing so many other happy families. It is the way I wish life could be every day!!!
