What made you feel old today? For me, it was some old photos that my grandma found of me next to the tree in my backyard. That old maple tree was MUCH smaller when I was a kid!

We just got back from Scotland, took my folks. My folks are very active - mentally & physically for late 70's - but damn I realized they are indeed getting older and I'm so glad we can still take these active trips with them and they are still up for it and enjoy traveling.

Besides respraining my ankle for the third time in 22 months...simply by walking? (The second time I did it in Disney World on my birthday - so at least it was a good story!) Propped up and waiting for swelling to subside and will call my doctor tomorrow, not that they can do too much for it. On the other hand, I had time to read the news and found out that Rush is doing a reunion tour - my brother (14 years older than me... so he's 62) has always been a huge fan of them - so I got to share that news with him...and he told me I made him feel old! 😉

When my eye DR told me my eyes are aging very nicely. Now if my lung DR could get on board with her.....that would be awesome!! :teeth:

Two days ago I found some wrinkles on my forehead that I swear weren't there 2 weeks ago! Mostly, though, I'm tired when I get home from work. I just need to take a break for about a half hour before I think about tackling supper... and forget about doing any chores or anything AFTER supper.

I was teaching about the 2nd industrial revolution and was comparing the era to the impact that the internet had on American society in the mid-1990s to 2000s.

I suddenly realized my 8th graders have never known the world without the internet, wi-fi, cell phones, social media, etc.

Filling in an online form and it had one of those birth year wheels, and I kept spinning and spinning and spinning…. Now I may need an urgent care visit for the resulting finger pain!
Haha! I thought I was the only one bothered by that

We were watching TV earlier and an ad came on for a new show. - One of the young people said they had seen it and that "the guy who played the Hulk" was in it. I told her I was so old that meant Lou Ferrigno to me. :rotfl:

reading the prom thread and realizing that the 'kids' that were conceived the night of my senior prom would all be turning 45 this year :faint: (yup, every year there were always a few newborns at the local hospital born almost 9 months to the date of the prior year's prom).
