What made me happy/ smile today thread

DD 18 woke up happy and in a good mood even though she was running behind schedule.
DS 16 also woke up happy and singing and telling me all kinds of things about his game, his book and everything else that went through his mind while getting ready for school.
DD's 21 and 19, they make me smile everytime they help Granny during her um... toilette. They are a real blessing to me during those times.

Just checked in online for my flight tomorrow - my sisters and I are taking our first ever trip together, just the 3 of us with no husbands!!!

Oh, by the way, going to DISNEY!!!!

It's a cool, rainy, gloomy day...just the kind of fall day I love...and I get to go home tonight and snuggle my boys and do nothing. DH has class tonight so we will veg out and do a picnic dinner in front of the TV. Looking forward to lazy..

Today, my smile is from remembering a friend encouraging me that today, no matter what happens, i will have a good time. I am doing something i haven't ever done before and his words just make me smile.

Yesterday was my DS's 17th birthday. While there were some bumps in the day, he was thrilled with his birthday cupcakes ( he came up with the recipe/combination ). Him being happy made me smile.
DD 21 gave up her computer time so he could join his friend, made me smile that she did that for him.

My office is about 10 minutes from a General Mills Plant that makes Cheerios. This morning when I got out of the car I could smell them. The smell reminds me of the Main Street Bakery from our last trip in 2009. That always makes me smile.

We just made purchase of a new L-shaped sofa bed or "sleep over sofa" as dgs(7) calls it; When his Dad came in to get him after work he had a bottle of water for himself and a bag of M&M's for dgs. Dgs took a look his way before he could sit down and said "No drinking or eating on the sofa!".


On the Disney Wonder dgs then 6 was so taken with being greeted with our family name announced while boarding that on and off during the cruise he'd get dressed behind the staterm curtain once dressed he'd throw the curtain open and "announce" his appearance.

My parents said we might be going to Vero Beach in November for Thanksgiving. I have never been to the Vero Beach Resort.
