We have 1 day at Universal...should we buy the 1 day-2 park tix or buy 1 day w/express pass? We are staying off property and really want to see wwohp. Is the express pass worth it? Thanks!:confused3

When are you going? Don't buy the Express Plus pass until you've seen the lines for yourself...you may not need it. Also...the EP does not work for Forbidden Journey...only Dragon Challenge and Flight of the Hippogriff. If you are only interested in IOA, then just get the one day one park ticket. If you want to go to both parks and you still have some time after doing IOA, you can upgrade to the two park ticket before you leave the park.

We have set aside Fri. April 8th to visit IOA. However we could go on Sunday. Are the crowds any better on Sundays? I realize we are entering spring break time so heavy crowds is just something we may have to deal with. You mentioned upgrading our tickets later in the day. What does that cost? Thanks!

I don't think it's going to matter when you go. As you said...it's very busy pretty much any time during Spring Break. You can upgrade for about $10.00 or so...it's whatever the cost difference between the one day one park and one day two park...it's not much.

Thanks....one last question and maybe a repeat question. Since it is spring break would you suggest adding the ep?

DS visited last Monday, got a late start due to taxi issue from CSR & didn't arrive until nearly 10:00 am.

He bought the 1 day/2 park and the express pass ($31xx pp for that date) specifically because he was sick of fighting the crowds @ WDW and wanted a break.

IOA closed @ 7:00 pm that day, yet he said he never waited longer than 5 minutes in any EP line and was able to see everything he was interested in experiencing, except WWOHP which had 1-1/2 + hour wait mid afternoon.

If you're going mainly for WWoHP I would pass. The EP does not work for Forbidden Journey but will help for the other attractions throughout the park. I would wait until you can see the lines before spending the money. It will definitely be busy but getting there early is the key.

whoops...few more questions!
I looked at the price diff between 1day/1park and 1 day/2park...it's 30 dollar diff. Is that what I would have to pay per person (there's 5 of us) if we wanted to upgrade before we left the park?

Also any suggestions you have on how to tackle wwhop. What should we do 1st?
I have also read in other posts about a entry tix to the wizarding world? Do you have to have that to get in? Does it cost money?
I keep reading you should get to the park early and go straight to wwhop but then what? It sounds big and kinda confusing.
Where do you go 1st once you get there?
Also no bags/purses allowed on rides? True?

Thanks again and sorry for all the questions. Never been and want to make the most of it since we only have the one day.

Yes...you would have to pay the $30.00 or so dollars difference per ticket to upgrade...I was thinking it was less than that but I must have been thinking about a special or something.

You should do Ollivander's first since that's where the lines really build and then do Forbidden Journey.

There is no cost for the entry passes to WWoHP. Think of it as a reservation time to come back and enter WWoHP. If IOA is really busy, you will probably have to use the entrance passes.

You should head for WWoHP as soon as you arrive then decide what area you want to do after you've done everything.

Carry-on bags are not allowed on several attractions. In those instances, the locker rental is free for the duration of the ride. I would strongly suggest wearing cargo shorts and leaving the bag at home so you don't have to fool with the lockers at all.
