What kind of ticket do I order?

We are doing one park before our cruise. I thought I could order online and get ticket info immediately (some type of e-ticket), but it's only giving me mailing options or will call.

Concern: I want to make Fastpass reservations at the 30 day point, which is 1/8.

If I have the tickets mailed, do I need to pay for fast shipping?....or will I get ticket info in a confirmation email to work with for Fastpasses?

I found a reference to this in another post that says you get all your ticket info in an email if you do "Will Call" - so do I choose that?

I live an hour from the mega-mall... should I go to the Disney Store and buy tickets there?

Help!!!

thanks,
Peg

Yes, if you choose Will Call it will give you information that you can use to get FP+.

Having said that, you might be ok at this point if you just have them mailed.

If you buy directly from Disney through your MDE, the ticket info appears in your account after the transaction goes through. You can then use them to make FP.

Have a great trip!

Cookie and Oatmeal: if I purchase thru the app on my phone, will they be there electronically? No shipping? (it's making me put in my charge card before any deliver options are given)

if you order directly through disney via MDE your tickets will show up in your MDE and you can make FP+ selections.

you'd want to choose will call as your delievery option.

however from reading your posts it sounds as though you'd be better off haivng the peace of mind that you have the physical ticket in your hands before making FP+ selections so in your case i'd actually suggest just going to a disney store and purchasing your ticket.
if you choose that option you'll have to enter the ticket numbers manually just fyi.

I bought a two day ticket yesterday. Selected the free shipping. Tickets were immediately available on MDE and could make FP+ reservations immediately. Once the ticket is bought it goes in your MDE account. You don't even need the physical ticket.

you will need the physical ticket in order to enter the parks and use your FP+ selections if you do not have a magic band.

Thanks for your help everyone. I tried to order online, but was using multiple Disney Gift Cards, so had to talk to someone. (a very patient someone!). Tickets will be sent via standard mail. Received the email immediately, linked the confirmation number to my account (very easy - well done Disney!), tickets are there and ready. Now I just wait for my Fastpass window to arrive!

Thanks for your help getting me "through" this!!!!!

Glad to hear you made out ok. Btw for next time, you can register your giftcards at disneygiftcard.com and combine them so you can buy the tixs online with one card without having to call and possibly wait.

Right! Sorry I have like 9 magic bands and getting one more so I never bring my physical tickets. Thanks for clarifying!

I think that if you have MDE linked to your email address, and you buy the tickets online they will show up in your MDE. At least that's what happened when I bought my MNSSHP and MVMCP tickets. I chose the regular mail option, and the tickts showed up in MDE almost immediately, and then I got the physical tickets in the mail later.
