What kind of "stylish" walking shoes do you wear to WDW Parks?

Hi all!

Okay, my attire for WDW parks is casual, but cute casual and somewhat stylish. With that said what kind of walking shoes and or sandals do you recommend that look good while on your feet all day.

Any suggestions?

thanks All!

Brunette

I wear my comfy Nikes or Addidas. Mostly a running Nike or Addidas shoe or sandal. While in WDW I particulary don't pay attention to stylish too much. Although I match in what I'm wearing, I just perfer to be comfortable. With all of the walking we do, comfortable is what's most important to us.

I am the same way-casual and comfortable but no means walking around in a sports bra and sweatshorts. Yes I have seen people dressed this way there. I usually wear my new balance walking sneakers (they are plain white with a little bit of baby blue so they match everything) when in the parks. Comfort is key in parks at WDW. I tried to do sandals and regretted it. I save the cute sandals and open toed shoes for nice dinners and DtD or PI. There are some cute slip on sneakers that are sort of open toed (I have a pair that I love Sketchers) and they look great-I just havent worn them in WDW.

I love my Reeboks! I don't know if you would call those stylish or cute though. I do know that they are comfortable! :)

Get a cute pair of pumas or Saucony's. They look cute with shorts and some skirts. Just remember there are 2 different types of sneakers, especially with the 2 brands I mentioned. One is for style, one is for comfort/sports. Ususally the more expensive are the sport/comfy ones. If you have a tracy lynn sports near you, go in and talk to the sales people, they are very knowledgeable.

I also wear Merrel flip flops, the most comfortable things EVER. I tend to choose those of the sneakers!

I wore my Skecher slides last time and they were great. They are super comfortable and my feet didnt bother me once. They have lots of styles to choose from and they look good with Capris, pants or shorts even a skirt.

I've said it 100 times on these boards :teeth:

backless CLARKS!

Mine have been to WDW countless times and just came home last night. Saturday they walked from BW to the front of Epcot, around WS twice, walked to MGM (no boat for them!), walked through part of FW, home for a rest, then around WS twice more before bed....

never a blister to be seen

Just leave them on the floor during Soarin' - I trained them to stay put at DL after riding Soarin' hundreds of times, so they behaved well at WDW and stayed on the floor waiting for my return!

I did forget to mention that Sketchers sandals are very comfortable and they breath. At least to me they are.

I will never forget the year I thought I would be cute and wear stylish sandals to Epcot on a very hot day in August. Two mistakes that I will never forget "cute and hot weather". They do not mix. By 11am I was dying to get out of my sandals because my dawgs were howling and on top of that my feet were on fire from the sun. I had to go and by a pair of the white Mickey sneakers and a pair of sock. DH laughed at me so hard for trying to be a cute that day. Ever since then it's all comfort for me.

For our trip last summer I bought a pair of really thin flip flops, but they were pretty dressy, they were like a black suede material on the bottom. And I also bought a new pair of Sketcher sneakers with no backs to them, to just slip right on. The sneaker style hurt my feet so I ended up wearing those skinny flip flops. I should have just walked on the ground, I would have gotten more support!

This past trip I bought two new pairs of flip flops from Old Navy and a new pair of Sketcher slip on sneakers, but these look more like the ever-so-popular regular Sketcher sneakers. Only of course no back.

Personally, the last trip in March was a lot better than summer. My Sketchers didn't hurt my feet and since there are no backs my feet could breathe. Plus they looked really cute with my capris and jeans that I wore during the trip!

I have a pair of Avia tennies that have lasted longer than any other athletic shoe I've worn. Comfort is the key for me! I recently bought a pedometer and will report back with the results, but I fully expect it to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 6 to 8 miles per day at WDW.
It's amazing how many people I see at WDW wearing those wooden wedge shoes, high heels, boots, etc. I just don't see how they can possibly make it down main street... let alone the rest of the park.

For a kickin cute shoe that is super comfortable, I recommend the "Joyner", which is made for Privo by Clarks. It is a cross between a shoe and a sandal, but has a closed toe. In every other shoe I own, including my numerous pairs of tennis shoes, my feet tire if I walk/stand for long periods of time. In my Privo's, my feet do not tire. They come in black, tan, light blue, red and raspberry. I have the raspberry pair. I cannot tell you how comfortable these are, and I receive compliments every time I wear them. Eddie Bauer is carrying them this summer and you can find them in a Clarks shoe store, but I purchased mine at www.zappos.com. I like this company as they have free shipping, great customer service, and their merchandise arrives fast.

I take my new balance running shoes and several pairs of Old Navy flip flops. I live in flip flops at home year round so they are comfy for me. When they get dirty at WDW I just toss them to save space in my suitcase.

When we went to WDW this past December I wore my Ugg boots- they kept my toes nice and warm- they are like wearing slippers :flower:

I am a fan of the good, old fashioned Keds. They are not "stylish" but they do look very cute with shorts and are very comfortable. I debated long and hard before I picked them up for my Disney trips but I am happy I did. I can walk for hours with no problem. For me,flip flops kill so I need a sneaker!

I love my Sketcher sandals. I wore them last year at WDW at have a new pair for this year's trip.

Im really worried about blisters and aching feet so have decided to take lots of shoes so i dont get stuck with one pair that hurt.

I would like to wear my soft leather timberland sandels as much as possible but im not used to wearing them so they may rub.

Also taking some very broken in Vans and some comfy Oakley trainers that I broke in on the treadmill. The only problem with these shoes is that they arent waterproof and I hate soggy feet.

Fingers crossed for the sandles. I would have got some crocs but couldnt find a retailer in the UK.

Also packed many packs of gell plasters and foot spray :) gotta be prepared.

Obviously, NOT Crocs.......... the poor ugly shoe.......... a shoe only a mother could love! LOL

We bought New Balance sneakers last year and they saved our feet! I'm an ex-ballet dance and have foot problems up the wazoo, but the New Balance are great. A lot of them look terrible, but we always go for the 574 series of classic retro sneakers. Great colors, some limited edition designs and have both men and woman versions. Love the New Balance!
