What kind of snacks do you pack while on vacation?

We are going for 4 nights. We have 6 paydays before vacation (that sounds so much better than 81 days, LOL) to buy snack items to take with us.

So far I have :

6 packs of beef jerky (for the protein)
Bag of trail mix
1 pack of water flavors (that go into the 16oz bottles of water)
Cheese nips or Goldfish crackers
Large package of peanut M&M's

Any other "easy to pack" items we should take with us? What do you normally take with you? We are not going to do a grocery delivery, since we won't be there too long. Last trip we purchased a bunch of soda's and juice from the gift shop, and that worked great.

Edited to add : There are 3 of us - 2 adults & a 12-year old.

We have a toddler, so that affects my list, but we take:

string cheese
yogurt sticks
goldfish crackers
mickey pretzels
itty bitty packs by nabisco (like the 100 calorie packs but available in teddy grahams & honey bees, cheese nips & ritz crackers, and nilla wafers)
trail mix (our favorite is the berries and chocolate by planters)
individual fruit cups (mandarin oranges and peaches)
juicy juice drink boxes
vitamin water

We have a small softsided cooler bag (like a reusable lunch bag) that I throw an icepack in for the cheese, yogurt and drink boxes.

We'll be bringing nutrigrain bars, peanuts, peanut butter crackers, etc. Things that are quick and easy to eat and lightweight since the camera bag already weighs enough. We are staying at CCI, so we'll do a good breakfast and I'm hoping they'll have apples and things at breakfast that we could take with use for additional snacks each day. Oh, and we'll have water bottles that can be filled up to keep us from the sodas and such.

I do a lot of the things already mentioned, but will add that we like to freeze yogurt tubes in the freezer section of our hotel fridge and by the time we want them, they are thawed out and still cool. Another good source of protein.

While tech not a snack,my DD bought some of those frozen pbj thingys for our road trip. I figured these will be nasty, but slap me silly and call me Susan, they were good. :thumbsup2

We like to take rice krispie treats, cheetos, capri sun (freeze these and they will be great for later in the day), goldfish, fruit snacks, and fruit roll ups.

I always pack either Starbursts or Now and Laters (the individual wrappings make sure that no matter how hot it gets, they won't start sticking to my hands or to each other inside the main packaging, plus there's nothing lost if they accidentally spill). Filled pretzels are another good snack that can double as a quick meal.

If I bring anything, I'll bring a granola bar or nutragrain bar. Personally, I wouldn't bring anything that could melt (like chocolate.) Usually, if I want a snack in the parks...I just buy a churro. Or a pickle. Or some veggies and ranch.

Oh, I forgot to mention Dum-Dums are a DLR must for our family. They help keep kids happy while waiting in lines or for parades.

Sigh, so many things listed that we can't have b/c of corn syrup (and related items) issues and other things we don't eat b/c of being vegetarian....

We used to bring granola bars, but now we're all about the Clif Bar MoJo bars, b/c they have the same calories AND 8 or 9 gm protein. Deeeelicious. 10 for $10 at Fred Meyer right now.

We should bring, but keep forgetting, to bring the little juice boxes by Knudsen, they are organic with no HFCS and they aren't expensive and DS loves them.

I understand the PB M&Ms, for the protein, but I would be careful eating those in lines...their smell is quite potent, and if you're in line with someone horribly allergic to PB there could be trouble. I don't normally take that into account, but after a long while of not eating any M&Ms out of respect for the guys in my house who can't have corn syrup, I was shocked at how PB-smelly those things are, so I mention it.

Water, definitely.

We buy the fruit in the parks. Why? Because even though we normally eat organic fruit, the fruit at DLR is just incredibly good. Expensive, but gosh it's worth the cost (and pesticides, LOL). It just goes into our budget now.

Are people in your family allergic or corn syrup or something?

10 for $10 actually sounds kind of expensive to me. How big are the bars?

Uncrustables! We take them from the freezer, and by the time the kids are ready to eat them they are perfect!

I would grab a loaf of bread some pb and j and keep it in the room for a "right now IM HUNGRY" snack until you get to where ever you are going to eat. Also , those instant campbells soups, you can use your coffee pot as a soup warmer. Ive done it and it works well. also those little tuna and cracker mix em yourself packages or the lunchables are really good especially if you want protein.
Oh and you can get instant oatmeal and again use the coffee pot in your hotel room to heat up the water.
That way if there are times where you may not want to go right to a restaurant after you leave the room and just want to hit the rides you can be kind of full for a while.

Thanks for all of the great ideas!

Do you think Capri Sun would be okay packed in a suitcase?? I think that would be an excellent drink idea!

We always bring snacks too. Here are some of our favorites:

PB&J, grapes, bananas, apples (cut up), Clif Bars, Power Bars, cheese crackers, red vines, and to drink we always bring water. We take advantage of the coolers in the First Aid Station to fill up our water bottles.

I find that brining in snacks really cuts down on the junk food and also helps the budget.
