What kind of scrapbook do you prefer?

I prefer 12x12 strap hinge...more pictures per page, looks nice on shelf.

I used to do 8.5 x 11 binder style with page protectors....easy, inexpensive, flexible...I just decided I wanted bigger layouts and got very intrigued with the quality of Creative Memories albums. :sunny:

it was for a church missions trip. After all of the folks took a peak, it started to fall apart. :earseek:

I have used CM albums since. I do most of my albums in 12x12 and have
8 1/2 x11 for celebrations.

Pick the one that works best for you. You may have to try several to get the right one.

The most important part is getting those memories into albums.

Thanks for all the great info! I guess my only concern now is that my wire-bound book might not hold up well over time.

Count me in for top-loading too. Everyone can look at the scrapbooks and I don't have to obsess about clean hands (or even natural oil and people's hands).

I love Dalee albums - I find they are very sturdy, and the page protectors don't scratch or mark up. They are more expensive, and the LSS where I used to buy them is closed now, so online is my only option for now. I'm so happy with them that I can't convince myself to even try other brands - other than the Disney ones I buy on my trips!!

I use 12x12 for myself but I recently made an 80th birthday party 6x6 gift book for my grandmother and it was so easy. Stampin' Up has a cutting plan using 2 sheets of 12x12 paper and one sheet of 8.5x11 paper to make 8 pages. It was so much fun and took one evening to make all of the pages (minus the pictures). I gave it to her at the party with a note saying that I'd fill it up with memories and pictures from the party. I printed the pictures and sat down with her and talked about the people in the pictures and now I'm working on cropping the pics and adding the journaling.

That is very special time for you & your grandmother ... cherish those moments!
