I have been on the Wonder and the Magic...but not since 2003 and 2004, respectively. Since them I've been on the Dream 2x and the Fantasy once (with another coming end of next May).
If we want to use our placeholder (booked June 2019 ) we will have to go on my spring break 2021 instead of summer, because the first week of June we are taking the whole clan to WDW, 3 kids and their spouses or long term dates, and the 2 grandkids.
I could do a 4 night Dream again, but been there, done that. Not ruling it out, but...
I'm looking at a 5 night Magic to Key West, CC and Nassau, or the 5 night Baja cruise to Cabo and Ensenada. The flight to San Diego may be cost prohibitive. These are the options because they work with my spring break (teacher).
Here's the question though. I LOVE aft cabins on the Fantasy/Dream. On the classic ships we were in verandah staterooms but don't remember any aft type of rooms there.
Any awesome cabin suggestions for the classic ships? It does have to be a verandah.

Daisyx3,

I’m always bummed to see that placeholders have various blackout dates, and since I saw “spring break” and “placeholder” in your post, keep in mind that there are 8 cruises with placeholder blackout dates in early 2021… two per ship. They all occur on cruises that leave port between March 27 and April 5, 2021. Just wanted you to be aware, so you can see if your spring break falls outside that range.

As for rooms: we love the Magic and Wonder, and also like the aft cabin verandah rooms on decks 5, 6, and 7. Your three choices are 7A, 6A or 5C/5B. The 7A’s have the “Navigator’s Verandah” which has a steel porthole, which is a little limiting for us, and the 6A’s have a full view above the railing but they have white walls (rather than plexiglass) below the railing.

The 5C/5B rooms have the full, plexiglass-below-the-railing verandah.

We’re a fan of the 6A rooms as their view is not only off the side of the ship, but also off the back. The final bonus for us is the ‘secret stairwell’ that goes up directly into Cabana’s.

Hope this helps!

Well, there goes that. Sad that I'm hampered by our school calendar. For a few years they did more of a "spring break" than an "Easter Break", which gave me better airfare, less crowds in the parks, etc. But the parents complained so here we are back around Easter.
The only option that is not blocked out is the Monday 3/29 4 night Dream.
I will have to let this one go, I guess. Hopefully I can get one on my cruise first week of June 2020 and be able to go on the Wish during the first week of June 2022.
