What kind of refillable cup do you bring for soft drinks??

When we found out in January that we were going on our first Disney cruise, we were in Target and found these:

Mickey/Minnie; Tinkerbell; and just Mickey Water Bottles, so we bought 7 of them...

They Don't use a straw (one less thing to clean), have a large opening for ice, and the 'rings' at the top are much like caribiners. My whole family is not doing an FE, just one cabin, so these are surprises for the other two cabins! We think we'll use them for excursions too if we need to!

Just one more thing to get excited about!:yay:

I saw these at Target a while ago and did not buy them and now I wish I had. I'll have to check and see if they have any more. They are so cute.

For those of you who bring your own alchohol on board what do you mix your drinks in that you carry around the boat? I'm usually a glass guy when it comes to my cocktails, so I'm looking for a good alternative that will be discrete. Not trying to hide anything since we're allowed to do it, just like to be respectful of those around me.

Thanks!

I think those Tervis ones look like they would be great for alchohol drinks also.

I use a 34oz Bubba Keg mug. It's isulated and has a sealable lid. It's great for a large portion of Jack D & Coke on pirate night :cool1:.

Been pondering this ever since we decided on an August 2012 cruise. I'm suspecting we'll bring a few of our refillable mugs from The World.

I used to bring the venti sized large cold drink cup from Starbuck and use that onboard but my sister just gave me a Tervis tumbler that I love. I LOVE a ton of ice in my drink and this way I can pile in the ice and still have a decent amount of beverage. The onboard cups also start to sweat out the bottom after awhile.

She got it in Bed, Bath and Beyond but they have a website and also have some Disney ones, nautical ones, a pirate one and a ton of others.....the Disney ones in the store were smaller than what I received but looks like you can get all sizes online....some come with a travel lid and for the ones that don't you can order lids and straws.

Mine has a lid, is double walled to reduce condensation, can be used for hot or cold drinks and has a long, flexible straw.

I have to agree that the tervis tumblers are great. I just purchases my first (not because it's a tervis mind you) at a Hallmark store because it has Schultz' Peanuts on it (which is not online at tervis). I use it at work and LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Keeps my drink cold cold cold!

I thought about this too, I have heard that the cups provided were really small (who wants to make tons of runs back and forth to the drink machine) so I ended up having 32 oz. stadium cups made as my FE gift for our group. Have lids and hard straws, best gift I could think of to give :)

We saw tons of these on our Carnival cruise last time! Dh was jealous! :lmao:

There are 4 water glasses in the room, but you can stop at a bar and ask for a glass or ask your stateroom host to bring them to you. You can also call room service for ice and glasses.

I fretted over this too and kicked myself because I'd forgotten our cups... But it didn't really matter to us once we got on the ship. We bought a large case of the bottled water (can bring your own last I heard) and it lasted the 4 of us the whole week. (We also brought some of the water on CC, etc. too.) Now we did also buy a couple of the large souvenir drinking glasses early on and occasionally used that, but not that much. We would just occasionally also get soda from near the pool (on the Magic). Most of the time we were out and about on the boat though so didn't spend as much time in the room itself. (We also took good advantage of room service and had coffee in there pretty much every morning.) Next time I am packing less and not gonna worry at all about a refillable mug, etc.!

I LOVE the suggestion about the Tervis Tumblers.. I was looking for something to bring on our next cruise ( 142 days:cheer2:)... this is a perfect idea.. I will be getting my 2 dd some for Christmas..As the Cruise is a gift for them as well THANKS!!! :goodvibes:yay:

Hmmmm ... love me lots of ice in my drinks and love my TT. My Big T (24 oz) TT holds tons of ice plus a 12 can of soda. I have a DCL refillable mug from 2005, but it doesn't hold enough.

Soooo ... I'm be ordering personalize Disney Big T tumblers for me and my friend, plus 16 oz ones for the GK ... they love their TT too. Even if they don't use them much on the ship it will make a great souvenir.
