What kind of "points" spender are you??

We are definitely in the splurge category. We made that mistake with our first DVC vacation -- we reserved a two bedroom at Hilton Head because we thought my in-laws were going to travel with us. In the end they weren't able to, so DS and DD ended up in the second bedroom. We so enjoyed that trip that now we never reserve anything smaller. We're not too choosy when it comes to the view, although last summer we reserved the theme park view at BLT just so we could say we did it once.

The only way we can do this is to go every other year and use banking and borrowing but it helps to keep Disney fresh for us -- it seems like every time we go there's something new to see.

Now that's my kind of splurge!

I usually book a 1 bedroom for DH & me. Lately, we've been splitting our trips between BLT (2 nights) and BWV (5 nights). I can't quite bring myself to pay for a 1 bedroom at BLT (it's only 2 nights), so book a studio there. But only my first stay at BWV has been in a studio - all the rest there have been 1 bedrooms. (DH has only stayed in 1 or 2 bedrooms).

I am spoiled - I want the living area & kitchen to be available to those who get up early or stay up late. Sometimes, two TVs & two remotes are essential to a happy marriage.

We almost always get a 1-bedroom (we bring an inflatable bed), occasionally a 2-bedroom (usually if it's a shorter stay). We stay 99% at BWV, in standard view to save points. View is not a big deal to us, but maybe that's because I haven't been spoiled by the BoardWalk view! We do travel during high point times, though, so sometimes a 2-BR or a preferred view just feels wasteful.

We just returned Tuesday from a 4-day weekend in a 2-BR standard view at BWV, and I've been reminded how nice it is to have more space and an extra bathroom! Uh-oh.

We are conservative users! I only have 142 points so it's usually studios for us. However, I feel like I get a ton of use out of those points. We are going over Easter for 7 nights in a studio. As a family of four we are used to one room when traveling. Some day I will save enough for a 1 or 2 bedroom but for now I would rather go more often.
