What kind of pins do you collect?

I collect them from DLP- I like hotel ones and Minnie Mouse ones.

I love Pooh and DD likes the Princesses, but really, there are so many that I get the pins that I like. If a pin strikes me as attractive, I'll buy it before buying something that 'fits' into a theme, but which I don't like as much...... I also figure that this keeps my costs down - if I stick with one theme, I risk getting all of the cheap ones and then 'having' to move into the more expensive ones. I already did that with Pez collecting, so I'm trying to enjoy this hobby 'on the cheap' for as long as possible.

I collect pins released from WDW, mostly. I love Tink and Mickey ears-shaped pins as well. Have some Lilo/Stitch and trying to get the full set of One Hundred Mickeys from DLR.

Well, I don't have that many as of yet, but I collect whatever pins that catch my eye. I like pins that have a special meaning (like related to our trip), and those that are different. I especially like the Tinkerbell pins!

I'm a fan of collecting CM pins. Right now I'm interested in Parking Lot style of the CM pins.

Its always fun to see what people collect I mainly collect Stitch, WDW cast lanyard series, pins of events going on while I'm there and ones that are just kind of different and catch my eye.

My main theme is "memories" ie I get pins to represnt things I did while at the parks etc

I also collect Lilo (not Stitch) Monorails, Dumbo and a quite frankly anything I like...

I like most any pin, and that is what I USE to collect.
Now I really do try to stay in theme. I needed traders and even went through some of my books and thinned out those I really did not care much about.

I still have several themes. To name a few:
Jessica, Roger
transportation
rides and attractions
castles
restaurants
pirates

I stll have a large Toy Story and Monsters collection. But rarely buy for them any more. My binder on both is overflowing. Once I have to expand into 2 binders on a lesser theme, I slow down buying on that theme. That's my new rule!
Holiday pins I am only buying what I really like, and even limiting that.
We were in Epcot NYE. I bought the castle jumbo (LE1000), the Goofy and Donald NYE, and Epcot New Year pin.
The old me would have bought all NYE pins, and extras.
Although I did buy one extra jumbo castle.

I generally stay away from characters. I have too many Tinks now. I only buy those I really like.

I only buy what catchs my eyes. Although I have to admit I would like atleast one pin from every resort. Or close to every resort. I never have been able to get into theams for some reason. Most likely to busy going "Oh! I like that one!" And giving it no other thought.

Fred and I collect honeymoon/sweetheart type pins since we met on a trip to WDW and then honeymooned there. We love to find new Pooh pins. They are my personal fav. Hubby likes to collect Steamboat Willie. And then we also collect patriotic ones as hubby was in the military and just retired almost 1 year ago after serving for 21 and a half years. Oh and I also enjoy collecting pins with Walt or Walt with Mickey. The collection has grown so very much, that for the patriotic, wedding and Walt pins, I only buy/trade the one I really like, that catch my eye.

But if it's Pooh or Steamboat Willie, we try our best to get it.

Our pin collections are quite simple. We collect one for the resort we are staying at that year. We also collect event pins that we attended - MVMCP, MNSSHP etc. We collect the pin for the year we are there along with the AP year pin as we are passholders for that year. Special DVC pins that are related to our stay. Sometimes just a few random ones too but mostly they have to do with our trip.

I get Malicifent and sleeping beauty stuff, I've got a bunch.. my wife gets meg (not a lot to pick from..) and daisy, my daugher is into snow white and tink and my step son gets buzz lightyear and power rangers. They had a power rangers pin, I couldn't belive it..

For my oldest it is Little Mermaid and anyone from the movie. One of the CM even went Gaga over her collection in MK. She is also starting to collect Mulan but a very poor selection when we went.

My DD2 is Jasmine and Belle and the birthday pins. She turned 5 on our trip.

My youngest we collect Sleeping Beauty.

I collected other princess type stuff.

I just started collecting not too long ago.

I collect MAINLY Small World, Stitch, Mickey and Minnie, Alice and Cheshire Cat, but if a pin looks cute then I may have to get it.

I do want to have one from each park and resort I visit and possibly the special events I attend.
