What kind of mop should I get?

My mop just bit the dust so I need advise on what to get next. I have just plain ole vinyl flooring in my kitchen. Maybe the Swiffer Wet?

Get the kind that does the floors without you needing to be there. And if you can find that kind, give me a call.

The swiffer wet is alright. I do like it better than a braided mop.

I have an O'Cedar twist mop for when the floors really need to be scrubbed and I use the Swiffer daily for touch ups from kids/animal messes.

I just got a Swiffer Wet Jet and it is ok for light cleaning. If the floor is really bad I have one of the kids do a hands/knees scrubbing of the floor (my back can't take that anymore). There have been some small spills that didn't get wiped up right away and I had to spray some of the cleaner on those and let it sit for a bit before it would come up with the mop but other then that, it works well. The one problem I have noticed is that it does a REALLY good job on the dog hair so if you don't sweep well before, it clumps up the dog hair and leave it in spots. I use a dry swiffer now before I mop and that takes care of it.

get the kind my DH got for me the kind with a housekeeper on the other end ; )

The scary part is I didnt see that Parrothead was thinking the same thing I was .... Now that is funny

My favorite is the Quickie mop. You get disposable heads with bunches of streamer things. They work wonderfully and last forever.

I'm big into cleaning, and went through a lot of mops! This one works for me...good luck!

We use a damp microfiber mop on our hardwood floors. DH likes it so much I haven't mopped since we got it. If it gets really bad, we do the hands and knees thing, but I have been impressed so far. When the pad gets dirty, we can throw it in the washer.
