What kind of dog is this?

Another possibility with the markings and longer nose is a Gorden Setter.

They actually remind me of my dog who is an English Cocker Spaniel. Here's his picture as a puppy. He's 4 now.

Other than her color markings (and a lot of breeds can have those same markings), I don't think she looks like a Rottie at all. Her wavy ears are spaniel-ish to me. She could have some spaniel in her, but it may not be the dominant breed.

I don't see Rottie either. I had a dog that same color once and she was definitely not a Rott.

I don't know. I agree that at first I though Rottie because of the markings and feet but really there are others with those markings too. Spaniel- ears yes but the tail and short coat- there is something else in there and I'm leaning toward Lab. But whatever she is - she is CUTE!

the Gordon Setter puppy looks JUST like Mandy did as a puppy! WOW!

I took these today. They show her body a bit better than the others:

The legs in this picture are of my DD14... she's 5'6", if that gives you a better idea of how big the dog is:

(I live these things every day with a female German Shepherd and kids. Hope you don't mind the unsolicited advice. ;) )

Sure, unsolicited advice is welcome! ;)

Unfortunately, I don't have cable, so I can't watch the Dog Whisperer. My mom raves about him, and we've tried things she has seen on his show.

Here's a picture of Jonas....his mom is a corgi but he didn't get the short corgi legs for sure!!

His brother looks just like him except with the short little legs!!

Here's what he looked like when we brought him home...way different than he looks now...

Oh, my goodness. Your Winston is about the cutest thing ever!

Gracie and Jonas are adorable, too! I just love puppies! If they'd only stay so cute awhile longer... Kind of like children, I suppose.

I showed the pics to DW Lauri ... her guess is part doberman and part mutt that has some shepherd in it.

This also reminded us of a dog Lauri and her first husband got years ago. Supposed to be a beagle/terrier mix and would be no bigger than a 20 lb lap dog.

About a week after they got her, her small puppy feet became big puppy feet.

Turned out what they had was a 100 lb Irish Wolfhound mix. :scared1:

And the biggest baby you can imagine. :) Also made her vet retire from guessing the mixes of dogs. :teeth:
