I would like to book for February and I was wondering about using a AAA discount rate...

What kind of discounts do you get? For instance, for AKL concierge? or any other resort...

Thank you... again...

I booked Pop Century for 5 days in Jan and I believe it was 20% off the original rate!!!! :)

Book early because, like the AP rate, once they're gone, THEY'RE GONE!!! (unless you're lucky enough for someone to cancel their ressie!!!)

The AAA discounts will vary by what resort you are booking. Expect at least 10% but I believe that the Deluxe resorts get a 20% discount with a AAA card. I agree with tigger that if Feb is your time frame, I would book now. Around the first of November or December, the discount codes should become available and you may get a cheaper price than your AAA discount. Last year we got the WL for $119/night (standard view). Please keep in mind the above rates and discounts are for value season. The regular season and peak season discounts will vary. Hope this helps. Call CRO (it's not called that anymore, don't know the new name) and just ask about the AAA rates available for your time frame.

I made a AAA ressie at WL for Oct. 2004 (regular season), it was around an 11% discount which basically covered the tax on the rack rate. Not great, but better than nothing. I'll strike like a viper when those AP rates come out for our dates.

We got a rate of $414 (including taxes) for 6 days at All Star Sports with our AAA membership - rack rate for value season is $77. Our rate comes out to $61.60 plus 12% tax, or a 20% discount. This was through Your Magical Journeys. Originally I didn't have AAA but joined (after I got stranded late at night with a flat tire) but the difference in savings just about paid for the membership.

We used the AAA rate to book our trip starting the 26th of September...SIX DAYS TO GO!:)

We were already AAA members and couldn't use the AP rate because it was not available for our dates. We have changed our resort location THREE times over the last month!

Anyway, we ended up at the GF with a LV and we are saving
25% with the AAA rate...not bad!

Have fun and good luck choosing!

If you are going President's week in February then expect only 10% as it is peak season. The first two weeks of February should be a 20% discount using AAA.

When y0u are using your AAA card for a discount, what method are you using to book? Calling WDW? Expedia? Through AAA? Without an AP, are there any other discounts that may be coming out in the next few months? I am going mid-January? Also, if I book with a AAA discount now, and then a better discount is announced, can you cancel the original ressie with at least a month's notice ???

I booked through CRO (WDW room only system). Under this system you can switch ressies or cancel with no penalty up to five days before your trip.

Go to Mousesavers.com for details on making ressies and how to get the best discounts.

Can you use AAA and apply it to your current ressie? I am not a member of AAA but I could join this weekend. How much does it cost? Can you combine it with other discount. I have booked the winter dream maker package for Dec 20-27. Can anyone help me. Thanks.

You can apply AAA rates to your reservation at any time, provided that there are discounted rooms still available.

You can't combine it with any other discount, that I'm aware of.

I just did a quick price check on your resort, and it's slightly cheaper if you book through AAA. However, before you get a AAA membership, is it possible for you to move your package up by one night?

Disney Resorts charge you the same rate from the day you check in. If you check in on the 19th instead of the 20th, you'll be charged the value season rates instead of the MOST expensive holiday season rates.

If you do that, I got a cheaper price through Disney than through AAA.

Thanks for the reply! I already booked it, it is for two adult. We will be staying at the Willderness Lodge-courtyard view room at $1869.54 which includes the UPH ticket. I was just wondering if I could apply AAA to this package, does the Winter Dream Maker counts as a discount? What price did you get when you did it? Our dates are flexiable for Dec 19.

AAA has no package discounts, just discounts on room-only rates, usually somewhere between 10% and 20%. I'd be surprised if the Winter DreamMaker package wasn't already the best deal if you really need the UPH passes. AP rates may be available then, we got somewhere around 32% off of our YC water view using AP rates instead of AAA.

Right now we have a savanna view room booked at the AKL for Jan 23rd through the 29th with a AAA discount. We are paying $260 inc tax. We were quoted $402 inc tax for conerige. We were able to get AKL Concierge for $277 inc tax this past Feb 1st through the 6th so I am hoping that if AP rates for the first "value" season of 2004 are released that we would be able to upgrade to concierge for around the same price as this year.
