what kind of discounts do travel agents get

I am going to travel school and I was just wondering what kind of discounts does wdw give for travel agents? I now when I called last week to get a room for 1 night at all stars they were looking for discounts for me and one of the things she asked was "are you a travel agent" ...

That's not exactly true. Occasionally they offer DDP to agents. It was offered for August and September this year. There is a substantial ticket discount that agents can use once per calendar year. The ticket discount is only for the agent, not the agents guests. You must have a CLIA or IATA card to qualify for the discounts.

My wife is a TA and we are going in October. The ticket discount is about 50% and is for one time per year only and only for her. The room discount varies, but the GP discount that was just released is the same discount she received. mbanks21 was correct about the dining, so with the current GP discount out we are actually thinking about cancelling our TA October reservation and book the GP rate reservation so we can add dining. The dining plan offer for TA's was just for August.

The DDP was offered for travel dates from 8/3- 8/24 only. Other then that, they cant get the ddp

Forgive me. I thought I remembered the Dining spilling over into September. But I was sure that it was offered.
